Amazing computer is lagging DayZ [Urgent]

Recommended Posts

I have tried everything and I really want to get on without lag so I can play w/ my friends. Please help!

Specs:

Cpu: Amd Phenom 965 black edition overclocked @ 3.8 ghZ

Gfx card: GeForce Gtx 660 SC

RAM: 8gb

Hard drive: Seagate 1TB hard drive and Western Digital 500 GB hard drive

Motherboard: Asus M5A97

Power Supply: 850 watt antec power supply

Things I have tried:

1. Editing the .cfg file in my documents

2. Tried every different setting you can imagine

3. Router 30 mbps down and 10 mbps up

4. Tons of different servers

5. I turned my gfx card fan speed to %74

6. Took the side cover off my computer and have a huge fan hitting it at all times

I used to be able to run it fine when I had a gtx 550 ti about 8/10 months ago when it first came out and I can run arma 2 singleplayer easily and lots of other games.

Same as this except 3D resolution is at 1920x1080, screenshot was not working. I have tried many settings and I don't get lag at all in singleplayer with these settings

bring HDR quality down to Normal, it makes no difference of quality IMO and all it does is cause horrific frames.

Oops I just realized I already have the HDR to normal, this picture was taken from the internet since I could not screenshot.

if you dont get any lag in singleplayer and the settings i just spoke about are fixed then it could be a connection issue giving you bad frames.

I have this router: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005KG44V0/ref=s9_psimh_gw_p147_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1ASY57JG85VPNE0SVR8P&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1389517282&pf_rd_i=507846

Apparently it is great for online gaming, I have 30 mbps download speed and 5 mbps upload speed. Any fixes I could try?

That my friend is what you call a crappy server. Find a good one and join it.

Heck, I'll give you an IP address to make it easy: 184.164.146.210:2312

Server kicked me off when I joined, I am coming to the conclusion that this game has the shittiest engine and I should wait until standalone.

What'd the kick message say?

Also, it's not the engine that's lagging you, it's the server.

You're correct actually, went on a server with 25 ping and getting 400 fps.

Listen, I'm trying to help you. I know it's frustrating getting everything working right, but it doesn't mean you should be mean to the people who taking time to try and help with something that doesn't affect us whatsoever.

Now, what did the kick message say?

Unless, of course your serious and your computer suddenly became twelve times as powerful.

personally, i think the FPS in dayz is all luck, i've seen terrible machines on this game completely destroy maxed out gaming consoles in terms of fps, heck my laptop runs Dayz with no issues with the same settings as you
