Going off topic, sorry guys if I totally derail this thread.Halo one and two are on PC, but halo 2's online services were ended earlier this year :(http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/01/19/halo-2-multiplayer-peaking-at-20-players-shutting-down/But I heard only recently, march or sometime around then that halo three was going to be ported to PC but I could be wrong.

jamieledgeway@hotmail.co.uk 216 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) The M107 sounds extremely powerful when a shot is heard off in the distance, and so I love it for its sound. However, the AS50 is a superior anti-material .50, and so when faced with a life of killing players, I choose it over the M107.More to the tune of this:The M107 sounds extremely powerful when a shot is heard off in the distance, and so I love it for its sound. RJTurneR 112 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) AS50 in terms of capability, but looks ugly as hell. My real choice though..? Download ACE mod, get yourself an M109. Blows both snipers combined out of the ball park. Why? 25x59mm round, designed to penetrate heavily armoured vehicles. Use that thing in ArmA, you will be heard from 3 miles away. Just for comparison, the AS50/M107 fires a 12.7x99mm round. Also, again in the ACE mod.. The TAC .50 is an awesome sniper, zeros up the 2000 meters and will deliver up to 2500-3000 meters. I haven't had a X-Box 360 in years. UNSC is always fun but I also really like the Brute Chieftain he was so fun.

I hate firing it knowing everyone and there mother going to know where I'm at. Also the zombies!

I always move around and never camp; I don't even spend that much time in Cherno and Elektro.Same I don't like sitting somewhere for to long if I don't have to. I get to paranoid thinking either someone behind me or I'm being watched. Edited July 1, 2013 by AbusivePoptart
Inception. 9443 Posted July 1, 2013 What sniper doesn't camp? With CoD being an exception.I do believe the extent of camp that he was referring to was sitting in the same spot overlooking the same area. I do not do that.

WBK 176 Posted July 1, 2013 What sniper doesn't camp? With CoD being an exception.I don't. CZ550 is my weapon of choice, but as I'm a lone wolf and don't like killing other players for fun, I have to stay on the move. Yeah it's my primary, but that's because it's a rifle with a scope; I can see people from over a kilometre away, track their movement, fire warning shots if necessary, and maybe fire a death shot if no other choice. I don't use a sniper to engage from distance, I use it to observe from distance and make sure no one comes too close.
RJTurneR 112 Posted July 1, 2013 Theres a difference between campers though. Of course you have those that sit there picking off fresh spawns, completely immersed in what they are doing, and end up being humiliated by a fresh spawn with a Makarov who took matters into his/hers own hands. Then you have campers that know more than one position, can shoot from any spot, are very aware of their surroundings and are prepared to move when even the slightest threat comes their way. Good snipers know that despite it's height advantage, Elektro is one of the worst sniper points in the game, easily flanked and spotted, and so will use many various other positions from different ranges regardless of what sniper they have. Real snipers/campers don't get spotted nor killed. ;)
Blippy 26 Posted July 2, 2013 AS50 simply because it's superior in every way, but I'd take the M107 just for the sound it makes. One time I was running through Elektro, and someone fired off an M107. I didn't know what it was at the time, and I just thought "Holy shit, who's firing a railgun?"
