Jgut90 71 Posted June 28, 2013 Hey guys since standalone alpha release is very imminent I would like to make my "prediction" on when it will be released.Since the Steam summer sale is coming up and usually it is on the second week of July I would like to think that Rocket would release it at that time with a $10 price and he would probably increase the price to $15 after the summer sale. Please share your predictions too! I would love to hear your thoughts! :D
leviski 2152 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) GENIUS!Its never coming out so stop making threads predicting it:P Edited June 28, 2013 by leviski
JustThatEpic 72 Posted June 28, 2013 My prediction: Very broken. $10 if not cheaper.
Jasmer 77 Posted June 28, 2013 well he has said around 13 euro which is 16.49 in american Dollars
Skat3rat 1633 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) Rocket said during E3 that SA would be out within the next few weeks - next few months. So there is a possibility it will come out during steam's summer sale. Edited June 28, 2013 by Skat3rat
TacticalN29 89 Posted June 28, 2013 Well I'm pretty sure he said on Twitter that it will be cheaper than ARMA II. Now I'm guessing he meant Operation Arrowhead, because the base ARMA II is $12.99. And that's not on sale.
Dancing.Russian.Man 1631 Posted June 28, 2013 well he has said around 13 euro which is 16.49 in american DollarsSteam uses a 1 USD = 1 EUR policy. So the "American version" would be cheaper. My prediction will be August at its earliest. Not even half of the people in the Alpha still have access to the game. I'd imagine they want to be able to have at least all the 1000 players playing at the same time(or at least HALF of them) before releasing on Steam, to make sure that their hive can handle all the servers sending and receiving data at the same time. The price? $8 - $15. That has been Rocket's estimate for the longest time.
sausagekingofchicago 4711 Posted June 28, 2013 My prediction, they release it under a different name with screenshots that make the game appear to be some type of farming simulator. We won't know which one so we better buy them all just to be safe.

snowcrash 82 Posted June 28, 2013 http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/139555-e3-expo-june-2013-interviews-and-gameplay/ On a release date and alpha keys:QuoteIt's not going to be next week (jet lag, etc...). But it's not going to be longer than two months. It will be somewhere in between. Why not set a date? Because we don't need too, and we don't want to force something out with a glaring game breaking bug just because we set a date, when we didn't need to in the first place.Furthermore, we have scrapped the keys-in-blocks idea and going for a full access alpha. This means we need to be damn sure our central server will hold whatever load might be thrown at it.Also remember, I was on tv. I'm always the most conservative on tv be because you get cut up into sound bites and lose the context. When talking to fans etc... I can provide context and be more realistic.
Mos1ey 6301 Posted June 28, 2013 The slightly-more-open-closed-alpha-testing hasn't started yet, there's still a little bit more waiting to do. Sorry! It's more of a 'when it's ready' than a 'when will maximise sales' at this point. Also, last I heard the price was going to be around 18 GBP, but that was a long time ago now.

Chris529 380 Posted June 28, 2013 pricing will probably be within the forty to fifty quadrillion dollar range, probably releasing in time for our elderly great grandchildren to play it.seriously though probably 15 bucks within a few months

He stole Rocket's luggage and all he found insde was a couple hotel towels, a half eaten sandwich (check ebay), and a bunch of sketches of tractors on some Chinese restaurant menu with a pink post-in note saying "this will solve everything". I think the meaning is clear.

Zombie Jesus 723 Posted June 28, 2013 Rocket said during E3 that SA would be out within the next few weeks - next few months. I stay with his it will be released when it is ready and not expect anything else until an actual date is set.
Mos1ey 6301 Posted June 28, 2013 and at rezzed where he saidhe means some random week down the line that nobody knows of, and not this or next week? Can you post the full quote please? To me that sounds like he means that they've chosen the week that they plan to release in, but it's easy to misinterpret out of context quotes.

Maca (DayZ) 769 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) Nothing will work and it will cost $19.99Oh look its Gummy, with another heartwarming post. I take it you will forgo the pleasure of testing the Alpha then Gummy "Right"? Because i wouldn't want to see you getting anymore disgruntled than you already seem to be. So maybe you should take your own advice and not buy a product that doesn't work. Edited June 28, 2013 by Maca
gummy52 57 Posted June 28, 2013 Well, that depends. If it's $5 or less then I may buy it for laughs. I don't think it will be, though.
