You've asked us to go public and we have! Check out some of the things we've added to our public EU/UK server for you to enjoy. (Search for our EU server under "UK46" or by the IP at the bottom of this post) :thumbsup:

Public?! What about the hackers?

You needn't worry. The custom anti-hack keeps out most of today's hackers, and our Staff are active, constantly monitoring the server, keeping it free from scripters, hackers and rule breakers for the players. Of course, should you see any suspicious activity, do not hesitate to report it to one of our Staff members.

I'm new. What kind of custom/extra features can I expect?

Custom Scripts:

Balota Buddies run a series of custom scripts on our servers to enhance immersion and quality of gameplay. Some of them are:

More Helicopters and vehicles:

Yes, more helicopters and they're spread out all over the map, and we've added more cars too.

Vehicle Scavenge:

Steal full repaired parts off other vehicles and add them to yours? Ever feel like crippling someone's hidden car in the woods without gunfire? NOW YOU CAN! Steal that engine.

Dynamic Helicopter Crashes:

Hear that? Is that a helo?! CHASE IT. Every 15-20 minutes a random Mi-17/Huey will spawn and gravitate towards the area of players (within several large grids) before suddenly exploding and crashing into the ground full of loot and zombies! Or, for the more daring, they can be brought down with a single shot so get your Makarovs ready!

But we've also re-added

Care Packages!:

Some friendly government has airdropped in crates just packed full of goodies! Some have food, others equipment, repair parts, ammunition and medical supplies!

Variety of Custom Buildings and Loot Tables:

Some new barracks and hangars added to spice up the NEAF, some more at NWAF (to make it even more dangerous) and a few choice weapons that have been added in for fun.

New town in the South East:

Yes, a new town on the coast, as well as barracks and fire stations placed on the map in unexpected towns.

AIs:

We've got male and female bandits and hero AIs. Bandits who will kill you if they see you, heroes who only shoot bandits, and soldier AIs who are armed to the teeth and will kill anybody. Don't try to get Klen unless you're in a big group with some big guns!

Auto-fuel, full moon night and good weather available too. But don't think it's easier, it isn't. It's the same tougher zombies from 1.7.7.1 and the AIs in helis at the airfields aren't going to make things easy for you either!

Interesting. Hopefully this will boost the population on the EU servers a bit - I've only been on BB's EU servers once or twice, and whilst the folks there were awesome, it was a bit deserted.

Looks awesome, i would heavily recommend this to any new players reading this, its worth taking the time to get whitelisted, BB is a really good community and there servers are alot of fun.

It will remain public until for some reason we decide it should be whitelisted, I suppose.

I came onto the forums to look for a private hive to join, as I heard they were much better compared to public offical servers.

Figured I'd have to go through the lovely process of getting whitelisted, but seen that this new server was public and decided to give it a whirl.

First off, love some of the changes in towns. buildings where there should have been, makes certain places actually worth going towards.

AI's really something, too. First server Ive been on with AI. ran towards a group of 3 and ended up getting gunned down lol. oh well, lesson learned.

only downside I could even think of is server population (4 at the time) and the ping being a little higher than some servers, but 100 isnt really that bad.

and I realize both of these things are going to flucuate, so I'm not really complaining.

First HIVE I'd tried, and I think I might just stay awhile ^_^

Thanks, Van Heighten. We've only been public for three days, so it's all a bit new to us. We're trying to developer our user population with all the changes, as the previous server was vanilla. It's best to visit GMT evenings to find others players. :thumbsup:

As mod here could I remind everyone overly bumping threads isn't allowed, so only post if you've got news or additional information or are answering questions when people are asking about BB servers. Thanks. :)
