Depriving players of the use of thier eyesight

One idea would be to add blindfolds, this would be handy if you wanted to take a player to your camp but didn't want him to know the route or location. If the ability to handcuff is ever introduced then the opportunities for hostage taking and trolling are endless, pick up a fresh spawn in your heli, cuff him, blindfold him and drop him on the roof of the hotel/the runway of the NWAF etc etc etc.

Maybe by shining a torch/headlights directly into a players face at night you could cause temporary blindness like we all experience in real life, not just for 1 or 2 seconds either, it should take 20 - 30 seconds or longer for a player to regain his full night vision, this would make the flashlight/Hatchet combination extremely potent for CQC at night.

Squirting acid into a players eyes could cause prolonged even permanent blindness. With the new crafting and med systems it would be easy to add everyday items like squeezy bottles or water pistols and bleach or battery acid, also medical eye wash kits to help fix any temporary damage to the eyes.

Pointing lasers into the eyes would be another way.

Spectacles, sunglasses and protective eyewear would then have a real purpose.

I think it would be a lot of fun to squirt acid into a players eyes and watch him stumble about in a mad panic as zeds or you yourself take advantage of the situation.

I like those ideas. a supersoaker with acid could be pretty funny..oooo or a supersoaker filled with gasoline and either an attached or hand held zippo type lighter for a makeshift flamethrower, but yes blinding people would be fun.

blindfolds would be sweet, so long as when blindfolded you couldn't access your compass or map pretty easy to find out where you're being taken if you could. Still though, I like it

The idea would be that as long as the blindfold is in place the screen would be black with the exception of the UI, hunger and thirst etc.

That's good, I know nothing about coding games, but it doesn't seem it would be too hard to implement.

Just to let you know, that wouldn't work, gasoline isn't flammable and would put out the flame.

Even if it didn't light it would burn his eyes pretty badly. Gasoline in the eyes was/is sometimes used as a torture technique.

Right.

Only the gasoline vapors are flammable, so basically when you pour gasoline over the torch, it wont ignite.

By the way, speaking of flamethrowers, you could do one with deodorant or propane. (I know, I don't know any other gases that are flammable expect propane..)

I love the idea of being able to have handcuffs/zippy cuffs and blindfolds. That capability to move other players who are restrained in this manner would also be great.

I'd say that if a blindfold was implemented then having it as one that could be removed via shuffling the players head for a few minutes would be good so that abandoned players could end up seeing and travelling somewhere even if their hands are cuffed so they could try find someone to remove the cuffs or die to zombies to start again.

Other players who see that player shuffling their head could re-secure it and tell the player to stop.

I think the blinding via acid is probably complexity for the sake of complexity at this stage and would have very limited uses considering the presence of assault weaponry.
