Camera should "zoom in" on your murderer when you die

3rd person gives you an fov similar to real life, although it can be exploited. using magic zoom cameras is not realistic any way you look at it.

I'm going to try not to make an argument for either 3rd or 1st person, but you can get a FOV that is bigger than standard 3rd person, while in 1st person, by double tapping - on the numpad.

No. In DayZ, you're not supposed to know. I mean I don't know if I can see what the cause of my death was in real life, but I doubt that.

Imagining that would be awful. I could NEVER fly a helicopter straight. I'd have a tough time driving too. I always need to see the back of the vehicle. It drives me nuts sometimes to be looking at a small window called a monitor, then through another smaller window that I must use to drive and see.

Not a bad idea, but there are servers just for that. It would add to the immersion, but it wouldn't be helpful and fun for some people.

Personally, I can't control any vehicle unless I'm in the cockpit. For me, steering cars and flying helicopters is next to impossible when you have to rely on your mouse and keyboard.

No they shouldn't, that might work in CoD where people are running around frenetically but it's an insane idea for DayZ... it should just be CUT TO BLACK.

I am going to take your ideal and edit it around a lil bit. Hope you don't mind.

How about when you die it shows a mugshot of who killed you. No name just a face. IN standalone since everyone will probably look different for the most part this would allow you to see the face of your killer without getting a advantage.
