I saw the trailer and a huge horde of zombies climbed over a bus at hyper speed.. I wouldn't say so.

As far as i know 28 Days Later was one of the first "zombie" films to have fast running infected.

I loved WWZ the book - not convinced at all about the movie

Yea I have the book and wasnt so sure a movie version would work - theres just so much content in the book it couldnt possibly be made to fit a movie. A mini series would work a lot better. Having said that it doesnt look like the movie follows the book very closely any way. I may be wrong as I havent seen it yet. Ill check it out anyway as if nothing else it looks like a good action movie!

That aside, anyone who loves a good zombie book should check out David Moody's "Autumn" series - they are by far the best zombie books Ive ever read, and Ive read loads!

...just got back from watching WWZ... What a let down. I wouldn't even bother watching it again if it came on TV.

This from someone who liked the book but is not a fan or something, it's just a weak film.

As I feared a blatant cash in, tat for the masses action movie to sell on the back of the popularity of Walking Dead and the whole zombie genre!

...also worth pointing out is you more or less see almost every best part in the trailer anyway- the stuff in between is just "padding".

The zombies in WWZ reminded me of the mutants from I Am Legend.

I just don't see the book making for a really good big budget movie. You need a big name like Brattifer Pitterrous the Third to tie the chapters together. It's a bit like with Game of Thrones, I really liked the book, but I'm happy that the tv show takes certain creative liberties, because it's another media and if I wanted the exact same story again, I'd be better served re-reading the books.
