My Computer should be able to run it, but has a hard time.

Recommended Posts

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me why my game gets around 10-15 fps at a constant. Multiple sources ive checked indicate that i should have NO problem at all running Dayz.

Really starting to scare me cuz i fear i will HAVE to upgrade for SA

Ps i know my CPU isn't the best :P

AMD Phenom II X6 1035T Processor 2.6 Ghz

8 GB Ram DDR 5

Radeon HD 6850 HD 1g

Windows 8

hmm, its possible that your graphics card is bottlenecking the rest, but i don't know much about radeon cards but even with that card (its still good) you should really be running it at higher fps? i hate to ask such silly questions but have you actually told the system to use the graphics card? sometimes pc's use the intergrated cards unless you tell them otherwise. also windows 8 may pose a small issue.

The problem with the system requirements is that they're from what, 2009?

The mod would run sweet on your machine if you were running XP still.

Most don't take that into consideration.

hmm, 10 to 15 is too low even your hardware is low end for A2 - check my sig and do a general performance test first

Yeah My friend and I run on Radeon HD 6850s as well. We both get excellent frame rate (He's got a weaker CPU than you, and I have an i5 2500K.) I usually get no less than 42 FPS. Might dip below that briefly but 80+ outside of cities. Check to see what's running. Formatting your drive and starting from scratch might be a good idea,

SSD would increase, but sad to say it's your processor, in order to get decent FPS in DayZ is to have a processor with at the VERY least is 3.0GHZ (you have 2.6ghz), your Graphic card is decent enough for dayz, though i've never seen a 1gb on a bench mark, only the 2gb. You have a enough RAM. i would get a atx motherboard or even a high performance micro atx and just build piece by piece, thought most of the pieces you have are decent you should start with the processor. then work your way up to a monster pc

Plus AMD makes some pretty fast processor. not as good as Intel, but for the price and the speed they have, not to bad. i always go intel however because if you gonna spend money on something, might as well get the best(IMO).
