The only rifles that matter now:

Recommended Posts

M4 CCO: <300 yards CQC/multiple opponents situations. Also pretty accurate up to about 550 yds, I can hit just about anything that far, beyond I start having trouble.

Lee Enfield/Fal/M14: 100-600 yds, one shot one kill. These are all brutal and can hit up to 800 yds if you're good.

CZ 550/M24: 600 yds or more (these guns are virtually identical)

I don't even care about the DMR/SVD, they're for people who can't hit the first - third shot.

You forgot the good ol' Winchester :P

That's the best gun for zombies. Not so much players.

Are you asserting that you can hit a zombie / player like target , with an enfield at 600 yards ?

The FN FAL and M14 aren't 1 hit, 1 kill shots. And the M14/FN FAL are just as useful if not better in CQC that the M4

Yep. If they're standing still I can hit about 9/10 on the first shot. If they're moving it's pretty hard because of the Een's slow fire rate, I'll probably miss the first shot and I might hit the second one.

The Winchester is a fine firearm for both zombies and players.

I want to see you hit anything past 1000 meters with your first 2 shots without an SVD. That thing is essential for actual sniping in ARMA 2.

Without a proper Rangefinder, of course.

AKM/SA-58? They sound and look badass and the fact that they can one-shot zombies and do significantly more damage to players than STANAG rifles is a big deal for me.

There are ways to figure out range without a finder and without that little measuring stick inside yer SVD scope.

It's okay I guess. It just doesn't seem as accurate as the AR-15s far out, even with the zeroing.

I don't know, the Sa-58 are quite awesome and have a great iron sight. Just found my self a M4A3 so proud :D.

M14, that's all you need, 1 of the reasons i hate vanilla are the m14 and dmr :)

Haha, no. It's the best gun in the game for me. Quite, deadly 8500 blood damage, 15 rounds per mag and uncles shotgun feeling. The only gun you need.

Mildots are also rangefinders.

This topic has a disturbing lack of Mk48 MOD 0's. There is nothing that surpasses it. Probably the greatest counter-sniper weapon, due to its incredible firepower and ability to spray an entire area with lead. It uses the 7.62, so it does considerable damage, and it has a gigantic mag that holds more ammo per slot than other guns (100 per 2 slots / 60 per 2 slots), as well as having a great CCO sight. It is an all purpose weapon that has no downfalls, if used intelligently.

Sounding a bit pretentious, aren't we?

To me, the cz/m24 is easier for long range than the dmr due to their zeroing ability, dmr for me is mostly for cqc, as I have better luck with it in close situations than m14 aim.

The SVD camo is one of the hardest guns in the game for most people. (including me)

EDIT: You forgot the G36k (camo)
