Addiction to the game

im gonna buy the Standalone when it will be out, cuz it seems very awesome game and i rly wanna play it, but with it, i rly dont wanna get addicted to it.

i watched the videos of Frankie in the dayz mod and he is aweosme at this game, but it seems like this is the only thing he does every day. he knows every corner of the map and this is just the situation i dont wanna get to...

the summer vacation is here and i dont wanna be stuck at home and play all day cuz this is just not me, acctually thats the only game ive ever bought on internet and stuff..

can any1 tell me how to play it and have fun without getting very addicted and still be out?

You almost gave yourself the answer, just play it and have fun but make sure you also get out and do stuff. Find a balance.

Then again maybe being addicted isn't so bad, I'm either asleep, at school or on the computer. It isn't that unhealthy, I just walk to/from school about 50 mins total each day and I eat pretty well so I'm not too fat.

So, uhh, I guess if you start pulling all nighters and take a risk with a fart rather than leaving the game to go take a shit then it's probably time to go out with some friends.

well hardcore gaming is something people just fall into. at first, you might loose yourself a bit, but you will get used to it and learn to control and genuinely enjoy it.

i never actively played something and then regret that i could have done something better.

only bad thing you can do is to play games just to pass some time, or play games while you have other duties.

always do your duties first, then you can enjoy and fully dive into games!

play passionate, and when you dont feel like it just do something else. nothing is worse than playing a game "just to do something"

I cannot tell you how not to get addicted. If you would like to discuss coping with the addiction once you have it, we can talk.

Just remember, the first time is always free. Once standalone comes out you will throw your money at it without even counting.

And yeah, remember the distinction between game and real life. When you see a car broken down on the side of the road and wonder where you would find the parts, glancing at Autozones and Wal-Mart automotive centers... Well then you'll know you are addicted and we can start a support group or something.

I too once suffer from this addiction, i used to mainline 5 cans of beans a day!
