My experience has been very good. I have always played private hives that run a vanilla esque version of dayz. Servers with custom anti hacks are the ones I would recommend.

Private hives are the way to go to minimize hacker action but there are still plenty of people playing on the public hive. also theres now a huge choice of mods of the mod and different maps nowadays.

Ok constructive mode activated.

Hackers are still abundant, it really depends on the server you play on, a good one with decent admins means if a hacker does drop by they will be swiftly removed and server possibly rolled back. However this isn't usually the case.

As you may have noticed from several other threads a new patch doing the rounds which has made the game harder with regard to zeds. Depending on your ability and technique with the mod this is either a good or a bad thing...

Still a FEW hackers, but of course there are plenty of Private Hives and Private Servers, most of them have hack block programs.

There are not as many hackers as before but there are still a few. IT is still buggy but it is worth playing, the moments that occur on DayZ overcome anything. :)
