Add weapon cargo?

Hi. So me and my freind were playing dayz vanilla on the new 1.7.7 update, me and him were really loaded with gear. I was on the school roof. A bandit skin guy came along while my freind was running to his corpse from the west of elektro. I took him out with my PDW and I was like 'HOW DID HE HAVE AN M107?" My freind didn't know they were banned. So he decided to pick it up and shot a zombie, nothing happened. I told him it was banned and he dropped it for 'add weapon cargo' and then a few weapons. He thinks he will get banned now and is sad. Anyone know what will happen? thanks

Nah man, should not be banned. When they say they banned the m107/AS50 they mean from loot tables.

Also, the reason it did not do anything was because they no longer do ANY damage even if spawned in.

So he should not get banned.

Tell him he is fine, no ban would be handed out for that.

AS50 and M107 were simply removed from the spawn tables. And even if a hacker DOES spawn the weapon in-game, it will deal no damage, since the mod changed the damage to 0.

That said, just because the weapon itself is "banned," it does not mean that he will be banned as well for using it. (A server admin might ban him from the server for having an illegitimate weapon, but he can't get Global Banned.)

I agree with Jordan, I think he shouldn't be banned..
