Medical loot with the new patch is non-existant.

Hospitals have tin cans and junk loot. Everyone one that i've checked so far is completely barren.

Seems like a bit of overkill.

I remember checking all four hospitals once back in June and came up zero except for bandages, All the fucking way to Berezino.

I found some bandages, epi pen and morphine in one yesterday

Glass wasn't broken. I was the first to get there.

Tried 1.7.7 for about four hours. Lived two lives. Became infected in both cases. Searched numerous hospitals, medical tents, military tents, etc. No antibiotics anywhere. I have been an advocate for the changes in 1.7.7 all along and I am very thankful that stuff is harder to find. I keep telling myself I like the new patch and the way it is. But so far the only thing I have looked for in my four hours of play is antibiotics. I even met and asked 5 people in Elektro about antibiotics, they did not have any either. I keep eating meat and other things to fight off the infection. But I have no idea where to go next looking for antibiotics. I am against server hopping and had hoped to find them in numerous hospitals that I visited with no luck. I would prefer to solve this without meta-gaming.

I don't want to log back in on my character until someone has the antibiotics for me. It was the zeds which infected me. If the chances for infection have been increased this much and antibiotics are this much harder to find, I suppose I will just always be sick. There is only one way to deal with the infection, but when you run all over the map looking for one particular item it never fails to not spawn for you. Been there with jerry cans and tires and such in the last version. The infection, however, has huge consequences now that it won't stop draining. So now I feel my best way to cure the infection is to jump off a building.

Not fun.

I dont get it all that crying ... why you let zeds come that close to infect you in first place ?!

I tested this mod also around 4 hours and I dont have any problems with zeds. It is zombie apocalipse if you see one shoot or runaway ffs.

Ahh I get, it you are propably dude in bushes waiting for freshpawns to kill - then you deserve to die anyway

If you don't have anything constructive to say, please go elsewhere. In fact I usually enter cities to meet new players, I suppose you would advise me to just avoid cities?

exactly my problem with this, its no longer a survival game...its just a lets hide in the forest and not attempt to go in to cities game.

the rarity of basic loot is insane, even in the real world apocolypse. you enter a hospital, you would find some decent medical supplies.

You enter a grocery store, and there must be some sort of loot. Not just empty cans...

Zombies fine, but bring back the loot tables from 1.7.6

I think they were basically perfect...struggled to find some items here and there, but an hour or so of searching and everything was good.

Vehicles were a bitch to repair, perfect.

Good guns were rare, hunting knife/matches were perfectly setup, food items were reasonable (maybe too easy) but at least the grocery store was a sure place to go.

this could just be the final nail in the coffin for the public hives...in ever play on private hives and dont want to.

Well - Wehn the Infected-Apocalyse comes, i dont think you would go into major cities if you are not forced to! and even than - you cant be sure to find what you are looking for! Maybe because the place is totaly looted or burned down or something else... thats how it is - deal with it!

how long do you think a hospital would stay fully equiped with medicine? its the first thing beside weapons people would look for and carry everything they could hold in their hands! same for supermarkets etc.

the loottable is completly AWESOME and more realistic now!

its the apocalypse and not a saturday-tripp to the Mall!

What with Zombie apocalypses being ultra realistic anyway. What a stupid statement.

You argument about the hospital is kind of stupid considering that loot re-spawns as well. If no one has been in a hospital and there is no loot in it that seems a bit pointless to me.

This is a game, hence why you run endlessly, hence why broken legs can be healed with morphine. If people are searching for 4 hours to find medical supplies then the loot tables need looking at because that just isn't fun and that's a terrible game mechanic.

Crossbows just got that more important. I was managing well killing zombies. I was lucky to fix a crossbow before finding a melee weapon.

Maybe it's too soon to tell? But then there are a lot of people saying the same thing.

In previous versions, I have looted hospitals and gotten less than what I needed. Sometimes you get a run of awful luck when you can't even find a map until you get up North.

Did you try picking everything up that was there, dumping it all, then coming back a bit later?

The glass being intact is not an indicator that you are the first one there (or at least it wasn't before). The glass could respawn even while you are in the hospital.

The only thing bothering me is Zombies can now hit you as you run past them or they run past you, even when they are clearly too far to do anything to you.

And to make matters shittier they're now able to knock you down.

Great idea but it's beyond buggy.

Gotta agree with the vibe of this topic so far and these things from the recent patch all combine to make the game not enjoyable anymore.

1: Zombies tend to not use attack animations anymore and just instant knock you down/infect/damage you by just standing there or crouching there.

2: In combination with the new zombie attacks and infection chances, the loot for weapons to combat them (zombies still do the retarded strafing, showing they are not zombies but intelligent beings), and the medical supplies to help yourself and friends when fighting these super zeds are nearly non-exsistant.

3: When combining the previous two factors and the zed detection range on sound and sight, even at 1 bar on each, makes escape nearly impossible.

I understand Zed were just a pesky annoyance before, but now they are beings of destruction which are better off avoided at all costs now. Camping simulator 2013 is what this game feels like now.

The Zombie knock down does seem to be a bit off in places, occasionally it happens all too soon before the zed is even close to me.

The Loot spawning is just ridiculous, either it takes forever to spawn in or there is so little loot at all you can't get anywhere. It feels like I'm playing DayZ: 2017 (which is fun in its own right), I could understand a drop in weapons overall for all the loot spawns but to go an hour to find nothing but tin cans and useless "Junk" items seems crazy.

It seems this patch has sacrificed some of DayZ's "fun" factor for more realism and in turn I fear this may lead to a massive drop in the playerbase, as the number of casual dayZ players certainly outweighs the number of hardcore DayZ players
