-so people can look at themselves (one less "reason" for 3d person)

They can actually look at themselves in the start menu from what i've seen in rockets video blog...there is no real reason to keep 3P anymore imo.

I agree, 3rd person just makes it to easy to "cheat peek" from cover which takes away from a lot of the realism/authenticity IMO

I do think 3rd person kind of takes the fear away from DayZ. You can easily see any threats without actually putting yourself in any danger. If they for remove 3rd person though, they need to improve 1st person view. I don't really like it :L
