If I ran bootcamp with windows 7 would DayZ run.

Processor: 2.8GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7

Memory: 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM

Yep, I suppose so, I've got the new desktop iMac, with windows 7 and bootcamp, it runs arma 2 on very high impressively, people misunderstand macs, I've got the highest settings of skyrim on mine.

But make sure you have enough memory, bootcamps memory runs out if you aren't careful..

Hello there

Excellent. There are many posts like this but having an actual user posting their results is not so common.

But, a macbook user really needs to reply as the differences 'tween desktops and Laptops of similar sounding specs *can* be dramatic.

I run dayZ on my MacBook Air, which has worse specs and it still runs smoothly, im guessing yours will work great! Good luck!

The GT 650m is sufficient to play DayZ on high with a max of forty frames. You'd have to get Windows in bootcamp to run it, but otherwise your MacBook checks out fine in my book. PS: A lot of people in the Can I Run It thread don't treat laptop recommendations with much respect. If anyone needs a recommend for a laptop, I'm the guy you can trust ;)

You won't run it on Mac OS because the game is written in C/++, so it works only for Windows.
