On a related note, I was playing Day Z as you do. I was drinking beer, as you do. I started pooping rainbows, as you.... wait, what? Then a few minutes later, everyone on the server, zeds included, started rapidly changing colours, disco style. Being slightly tootered, I stayed on the server with a mate to see what happened. So we're in this Ural driving down a road and this dude is standing in the middle of the road. He seemed friendly, so I hopped out, asked him if he needed anything or wanted a ride, all whilst still flashing a-la disco. He then says "watch this" and spawn this ehrmagerhd huge tower of buildings. HAXXOR!!!!!!!

Obviously, forbidden fruit and all that, I started asking questions, and eventually our conversation made it over to Skype. Turned out he was a really nice chap - not trying to justify his actions - and I asked him loads of questions about all this hacking stuff, and he obliged. This was a very educational evening, as it turns out, ARMA 2 CD keys can be bought for as little as $0.99. I'm not sure if these are generated or stolen, but yeah... that was a whole black market dedicated to ripping the game to pieces and messing up everyone else's gaming session.

It's not just downloading script menus, there's sites out there advertising cheaper or free versions or Arma, Standalone leaks (fake), or things like "optimization" programs claiming to improve your DayZ fps. They're all a ploy of course, just some skiddies tricking unsuspecting legit players into giving them access to their computer so they can steal a legit cd key and dump a banned one on them. That or just take the money and run.
