What's your most favorite part about Day Z?

Recommended Posts

Is it helping others others? Finding Amazing loot? Forming alliances? What is your most prized and entertaining thing you like to do in Day Z?

- Mine is playing with my friends, becoming bandits and fighting off hordes of other groups. I also like playing tactically and "realistically".

Fear and paranoia. I'm looking forward to recapturing that in the SA.

Mine has definately got to be the adrenaline rush of running in the middle of no where and then getting shot at when you least expect it... Haven't found this sense of exitement in any other game yet.

I enjoy the PVP Aspect ,however i play as a bandit hunter because i always had the oppinion someone has to stop them,i also enjoy helping other players.

PS:I do not hate bandits though.DayZ would be boring without them.

The difference between other games. DayZ has it's own cool style. Who doesn't want to make their own story? I really love the way you use your imagination in this game.

i have stopped playing the game for now.... but it was the heart thumping intensity that i have NEVER experienced in another video game before. never before had i been so fearful for my character. never before have i thought twice about pulling the trigger, wondering about the consequences.

...i should go play some more now.

The adrenaline rush when you see a team of other players who haven't noticed you and the choices you have to make in those couple of seconds.

Definitely ^.

The intensity of knowing that you'll know that you'll loose all your hard-worked for gear if you were to die. Constantly looking over your shoulder and when you do spot someone you go into this "live or die" state. The adrenaline that I get when running across an open field and suddenly a bullet lands by your feet.

This is something I have yet to experience in another game and cant wait to do agai in SA.

Also playing with friends doing all that ^

Like Fraggle said, fear and paranoia of meeting other people.

Also the adrenaline rush of being in a gun fight.

The freedom, how you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. That's my favourite part at the moment.

But when I first started playing, that feeling you get, like Fraggle said, fear and paranioa.

EDIT: Like also said, the adrenaline. When I get in a good firefight, I have to take my hands of the keyboard, and just breathe, because I can get so worked up I honestly shake.

It's all about keeping yourself on your toes, forgetting that and then realizing you've been letting your guard down the past hour. Something like panic, relief and fifteen minutes spent prone in some high grass usually follows. That's a feeling you just can't get in any other game. What else to I enjoy about DayZ? Finding a vehicle after hours of running on shoe leather is still like realizing there are presents under the Christmas Tree.

I enjoy many things.

I enjoy the mind-game, the quick decisions people make as a reaction to something.

I enjoy helping others as well, that is when they appear to be sane and not hostile. . .

That rush, I still get it. When you meet another guy and in a few seconds you must choose what to do. Knowing that in 1 second that gear that you have been working with for days is all gone.

That is why I play dayz

Definitely not the actual PvP aspect of the game. More the possibility of PvP is what makes this game so engrossing for me.

Seeing a player from afar releases the tension somewhat. It is the not knowing if you are being watched or not - this is what makes this game so different, that constant feeling of paranoia. No other game gives these sorts of emotions.

At least for me.

The fact that we are so little in such big enviroment, sometimes I put the first person and I see around myself and it's wonderful and frightening at the same time (just like in real life)

A lot of area to cover, and still knowing at any moment that if I become complacent in my observation of the surroundings, my retarded ass will die from a bandit. As said, bandits have a place in the game. Getting on a care bear server is no fun at all. Sure I am friendly, and try to help. But its the Bandits that keep me on my toes. As long as they are not teleporting, using god mode, or ESP, I don't mind them taking me out. If I was stupid or taking a risk... well it was a risk.

Just the basic feeling, the atmosphere. Post-apocalypse, zombies, old school FFA PvP sandbox world. Right off the bat, that is what got me.

What has me playing now, in DayZ Origins, is base building, more vehicles, etc. The stuff that will actually keep clans playing. I know neither will be in SA at the start, but I hope it gets added fast.
