Can you take stuff OFF of vehicles?

I'm wondering if you can take stuff (like wheels, glass, etc.) off of vehicles.

Not in vanilla DayZ, though many private hives have added a script that allows salvage of parts.

Hope it is possible in the SA, in fact, I think it should be almost the only way to fix a vehicle. Finding similar vehicles to take from until you can find all the parts you need and put it all in the same vehicle.

Taking parts off vehicles? I do it all of the time.

catalytic converters; stereos; fancy GPSes you name it!

Don't forget to check the armrest enclosures, there's usually an Ipod in there as well.
