help me install the mod

i have installed ARMA II and ARMA II operaton arrowhead but can i just download the dayz mod from steam and be good to go or should i get the dayz commader or whatever its called? Please help.

1. Buy ArmA 2 and ArmA 2:Operation Arrowhead on Steam (Together they are called Combined Operations)

2. Run both ArmA 2 and ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead once to complete installation.

3. Download DayZCommander from http://www.dayzcommander.com

4. Run DayZCommander and click the "install/update" button from the top menu.

5. Click "Install" next to ArmA. Wait for the download and install to complete.

6. Click "Install" next to DayZ. Wait for the download and install to complete.

7. Press "Done" to close the versions panel.

8. Filter "DayZ only" from the dropdown box on the left and join a server, if you want to play other mods you will need to install them also via the install/update menu.

when i try to install the dayz mod in DayZ Commander it says stuff but in paraenthies (404) error, what have i done and what do i need to do to fix it. also next to ARMA II it says reinstall do i need to do that?

Have you: " Run both ArmA 2 and ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead once to complete installation." ?

If you've done the above, DayZ Commander gives silly errors sometimes. Try rebooting and trying to install the mod again.

Do not try to get out of trouble by shooting the first Makarov you find. Don't try to engage Zs unless you have a clear way out.

Zig zag through pine trees (the ones that go all the way to the ground) to lose a tail of Zs.

Avoid people.
