Each one of those is a different map. If you wish to play a certain map, you download that map. No, you do not have to download all of them , just the ones you wish to play.

No those are sep' maps you can play all you need is chernarus which launches automatically. If you wish to play other maps you can download them as you go.

Yes. Use DayZ commanders filters to find a chernaurus server.

I still keep getting "Bad version, server rejected" anyone know how to fix this?

Try validating you cache.

Steam-> Library-> Right click Arma 2-> Properties-> Local Files-> Verify Integrity. Do this for both Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA.

In DayZ Commander, go to install/update and update Arma 2 to the latest version, it's the first one on the list. Then update DayZ to the latest version and after that, filter your server results with 'DayZ only'.

Servers with different versions than yours will appear greyed out, while the other ones are white.
