need help! arma II co ro arma III????

so i need littlebit help. should i buy arma II co or arma III to play dayz? and when dayz standalone releases? will they update dayz for arma II in future?

You need A2CO to play days.

There is no release date for the Stand alone. It will take some time.

The mod is separately developed and AFAIK has no plans to cease development.

Assuming you're on the DayZ mod forums because you want to play DayZ, you really shouldn't even be considering ArmA III solely for DayZ mod. My opinion is that DayZ is a unique mod with not so many similar competitors, and to add it to ArmA III is more a dream than a considerable possibility.

So to be honest I would either wait for standalone (a fews months minimum) or just go with ArmA II CO.

Also as an edit, there is a DayZ mod for ArmA III however it does require Chernarus from ArmA II I believe. It is called "Zoombies". Sorry for using a RhinoCrunch video as an example but this is really the only gameplay I could find. Nonetheless, I would go for ArmA II.
