Oldest characters

What's the oldest you have gotten your characters?

I stopped playing for long time and logged back in yesterday and he was at 223 dayz fully geared. I'm suprised my character has survived that long

Let's talk about oldest 'active' characters - ones that never went inactive for more than ~2 weeks.

Mine was quite lame. 72 days, fully equiped ofc with 2 guns (M4A1 CCO and AS50), ghillie, a lot of ammo etc. Also had a hero status (>14k humanity). Died yesterday in a big battle near Stary Sobor, killed by a guy who disconnected in the middle of the gunfight just to come back and shoot us all in the back. Too bad I almost only played on severs with less than 10 people.

I know most of you probably did better, but I'm still quite proud, never managed to survive for more than 2 days before :D

I had a 42 day old hero when I was on the public hive, spent most of my dayz sniping bandits from Cherno tower on fully populated servers and giving bloodbags to those who came up with their weapons left Down below

I was killed by a hacker that teleported behind me and as50 tws to the back

I also had 3 near misses with another players

1 bandit logged in next to me, I told him I'd give him a chance to log out, he said "fuck you hero" ad turned and he died instantly from my dmr and I took his as50 and L85

Another dmr guy shot me from the other tower and for some reason remained standing up aiming as I bandages and spammed cooked meat from behind cover, then another sniper killed him

Third was when a group kept server hopping up into my tower trying to kill me, I logged out after killing them 4 times as they spawned up there in a group with pistols and low tier weapons

Must have racked up a good 50 bandit and 3-4 survivors and 1 hero that fancied their chances at climbing the ladder after me telling them not to

Friend had 280 day old char but its only because he was not logged in for several month :)

My chars staying alive max 3-5 days, mostly coz I don't KOS and this is the reason why lots of times i got killed in back

Mine was 40ish when I logged off. Now I'll be playing constantly and am hoping I stay alive for a while. The most recent encounter before I stopped playing involved me trying to set up a potential vehicle heist in elektro cos nubs were using side chat, and as I moved into position I was hit by a DMR. Broken bones and bleeding I killed the zombies around me, morphined and bandaged because I luckily fell behind a hedge row. With bullets landing all around me I got up and sprinted to the cafe opposite the school and waited for 20 minutes then logged. I had about 3000 blood

Is it true that if your character lasts for 365 days the next time you log in to the server, any zombies that detect you that day sing you the "Happy Birthday" song?

My oldest somewhat regular character was I think 53 days.

My public hive character is 115...

(just logged into my public character and spawned as a bird over Dobryy... watched an Elektro sniper merrily murder someone and hide the body)

Oldest Active Character Lasted 36 Days.

Oldest Inactive Character i have sitting on a server thats about over 100 days.

If it's public, well... your're right.

On the other hand, many private servers do server resets after some time so it's not that often that a character 'lives' so long, even when not playing.

On the public hive my maximum lifespan has been 21 days. That life was taken by a hacker with a silenced weapon in Zeleno.

On my own server, when it was running Namalsk .72 I think I lived for two weeks once. That run was ended by sliding down a ladder from two stories up, getting hit by an EVR while crawling cross country, and then bleeding out.

Other than the above, I had a character on Taviana who fell off an oilrig. From time to time I would log in and swim for a bit, get bored and log out. I think he lived for a long time adrift at sea, but that really does not count.

My current character has been alive for nineteen days, which means he is the oldest.

I've kept a character alive for ~47 days I think. I spent most of the time scavenging and killing zombies, but I did eventually fix up a littlebird and ran a little taxi service before being shot down by a huey. I escaped that attack, but eventually succumbed to a staircase.

Had a bandit pinned down in the barricks on the north side of the NWAF.

I was using a 240 at a pine tree just to the NE of the entrance. He was heckling me from inside the barracks.

Died by hearing "Surprise" from his voice then shot in the back. ghoasted... Oh well, what ever makes a bandit more sucessful I guess.

Can't really remember but it was months back when i was playing 3-4 hours a day. I think the longest survivor was about 30-40 days.

Now, due to the fact i rarely travel further than Balota, Cherno and Elektro i am lucky to last 0-4 days. But they are fun days.

my oldest were something like 250 days but i didnt play alot that time. oldest active character was about 35 days.
