Assault Rifle Question

So i'm generally an assault rifle kinda guy. Right now im rocking a L85A2. I have recently passed up several other rare guns like the, M4A1 CCO, M4A1 Holo, and M4A3 CCO. Is the L85A2 better than these?

Seeing as they all use the same ammo, the damage should be identical or at least very very similar, so its purely down to aesthetics, go with whatever you like the look of and works best for you.

I like it better, it has a far superior sight IMO, the dot is nice and precise and it has a huge field of view. Other than that it's got the full auto option with M16 accuracy.

Are you talking about the infra-red sight or did they end up taking that out?

The L85 - the model with the holo sight - is a quick, pointable weapon useful in close quarters and up to medium range. The L85 SUSAT is great because it has a scope for fairly long range, and open sights accessed by pressing "/" for up close.

L85. It is one of the most powerful ARs in DayZ, looks sexy, pretty accurate, and the holographic site is real nice.

In terms of AR variants I always stick with the M4A3 CCO....

pro tip- has a flashlight on it for night time ;)

I've heard the L85's also have a laser pointer which can only be seen by NVGs - like its AWS predecessor. Good for spotting targets for snipers and blinding players with NVGs.

Yes L85A2 comes with a peq-2, however you will need to find nvg's otherwise its useless

The L85A2 Holo is arguably worse than the M4 Holo. The M4 Holo has an M203 attached while using the same sight. However if I understand the DayZ wiki correctly, it tells me the L85A2 is zeroed to 500 meters instead of the M4's 300...

Personally I prefer the M4A3 CCO because of its flashlight and I cannot stand the Holo sight, but love the EP1.
