Cheating the system

From what I understand you can host your own Public Hive.

Public Hives items carry between server to server.

If you are the admin of a Public Hive you can give everything to yourself right.

Which means if someone were to make a public hive. Put everything in there bag then log off there server and go onto another Public Hive they would have everything they put into there bag right? or am I missing something?

I don't do this....when I start a new game I look for all the ways someone could have a unfair advantage and I came across this and was wondering that is all...people take this WAY too seriously lol.

Only private hives allow admins the capability of altering loadouts and inventory.

Thank you. For the record I look into these things once I start playing a game. I hate corrupt people and I like it to be fair. This insures that. Private Hives they just spawn in everything for there friends reason why I play public.

Haha OP tbh you werent really making alot of sense. Public server hoster admins can take stuff from their server to other pub servers and vice versa, but there isnt really any point in doing so. I believe strongly that most (decent) hosters are just players like any others who like to play the game and give a safe place for others to play on too. Unfortunately you will have abusive admins in DayZ just like in any other game.

Basically what it comes down to is this, I think you are slightly confused. As a admin you have to special privileges and cannot alter anything in game with out the help of special scripts (hacking) although private hives have database access which you can create custom Loadout and alter anyone's inventory through the database. Public hive owners have no database access so you cannot alter ones inventory unless you are in fact cheating, or there has been a "admin menu" added to the server which is against the hosting rules so the server could be blacklisted.

This looks extremely bad, you asking if you can edit your character and give yourself gear.
