Best and Worst Spots to Abort/Log-Out

Typically, the "textbook" says logging out in an unpopulated locale, like in a tree, beside town, is the basic spot. But I like the opportunity for surprising myself and/or another player by aborting/logging out in a busy PvP location.

If you get on to a typically popular server, at an off time, and navigate to a hot-spot to log-off, then during the peak times you're bound to have a fun Shazzam! moment.

I wouldn't say Green Mountain is a big "PvP hotspot" but yeah, people do sometimes pop up in the weirdest places. Awhile back I basically lived in Cherno for a few days straight. 30+ player servers, always logged in the bathroom of the pub next to the Church. Pubs can't be blown up by satchel charges as far as I know. :)

Best, just northeast of NW airfield.

Best pve wild man, west of Zelen.

Usually just log out in cherno standing in the middle of the street displaying the surrender motion.

Pine Trees not too close from populated area (with map) = Best abort

Office or bottom of dobry (near the pine trees) = worst abort

Office roof in electro however is hands down the BEST Place to spawn in.

You mean one of those Shazzam! moments where you log in and get a sniperbullet to the face? Yeah, priceless.

I tend to abort/logout in areas where a load of items spawn (markets, offices etc)

@Suzie: Thing is, the excitement of not knowing what you'll encounter the second you log back in is a thrill a survivor shouldn't deny themselves. Plus, think of the "double-take" moment a survivor has when they just "cleared" a room and suddenly a well-armed ghillie is appearing from that very same room!

Just now playing dayz origins I land my chopper on salvation island ready to go find some loot. I experienced some stuttering and freezes. I decided to log out and reconnect to see if it would solve the issue. When I logged in I was not on salvation island. Took me 2 days to get my chopper together.. word of warning never EVER log out on salvation island. >:(

Had the same thing. Me and some mates were going on basically a suicide mission on Salvation City. After a lot of screwing around, we finally took off in our heli, armed with Winchesters and AK's. By the time we got there though, some of us had to go and decided to just log out and go for it tomorrow. I pop back in later just to look around the the island, back on mainland. It sucked.
