AlkwardzzSeaturtlzz 17 Posted April 23, 2013 This might have been already suggested (mind my spelling errors too as I am doing this on my phone), but with weapons bring able to take a mp5sd and take the silencer out, destroying the weapon but taking out the integrated silencer and making a make shift one. Also for silenced weapons having SD mags for every gun, almost, and if you have no silencer the SD mags are quieter, but with a silencer they are next to silent. Finnally, when you have a silencer with no SD mags the gun is quiet, not silent. Got to finish this for now I'm at school. I'll touch it up later.
mushroom911 14 Posted April 23, 2013 well this is not entirely how silencers work... (the guns are never " silent" the suppressor just changes the sound)anyways, I am pretty confident that the standalone will follow in the footsteps of how arma 3 works and the attachment system in arma 3 is pretty "solid" yet a bit unrealistic.so yes you will be able to remove stuff and be left with the attachment and the gun. -Gews- 7443 Posted April 23, 2013 bring able to take a mp5sd and take the silencer out, destroying the weapon but taking out the integrated silencer and making a make shift oneI'm not an expert at sawing into MP5 integral silencers, but I'd guess it would probably easier to make one from scratch and I don't know why someone would want to ruin a perfectly good submachine gun to try... I used to frequent some forums where I ran into a crazy guy who make some himself, he ended up serving quite a few years when they caught him. :lol:anyways, I am pretty confident that the standalone will follow in the footsteps of how arma 3 works and the attachment system in arma 3 is pretty "solid" yet a bit unrealistic.Yeah I'm really not a fan of it to be honest. I'd find it more realistic if they had left it completely out! I don't know why someone would take off and exchange optical sights in combat. I can see screwing a suppressor on for a hitman-type game, but wouldn't a special-forces soldier using a suppressor already have their suppressor on? It would have been good when choosing attachments at the start of a mission...
radrussian1 (DayZ) 23 Posted April 24, 2013 they say weapons will be completely modular and yet people are still suggesting modular weapons. im not trolling, just sayin people need to do their homework.
