Bullpups are not very "hi-tech", it's just you can have a longer barrel + shorter weapon length.

Bullpup rifles could get more interesting in SA if they actually make shorter weapons use less slots in inventories.

Essientally All the guns mechanisms are closer towards you so there is more space for a barrel.

Its an assualt rifle the size of a SMG.....whats not to love?

I Say we find every bullpup in existence and put it in the SA, Kidding aside though, the Tavor would be very nice. It Chambers 5.56x45mm Nato Rounds, is as big as an SMG, is compatible with widely availabe (in Day Z) Stanag Magazines, has about 3 varients including the M-Tar, which was modified to use a more common 5.56x30mm round in india, and the Star, which was designed to be a designated marksmans rifle. i think that this would be a wonderful weapon to have in the SA.

Bullpup rifles would be highly valued in SA if there was a difference in weapon handling and/or ballistics between different lengths of guns.

As it stands (ArmA-wise) the differences would be purely superficial.

I'd still say add them. More variety is welcomed.

@ Kryah. What makes you think repairing a bullpup layout rifle would be any more/less complicated than repairing any other gun?

Basically any gun is too complicated for your average Joe to tinker with. (plenty of small parts etc.)

By your "hi-tech" definition we'd be restricted to sticks and stones.

I'm pretty sure people get them fixed by gun EXPERTS.....I'm pretty sure those are few and far between

Bullpups I consider "okay" to include are the L85 series and the OTs-14. I don't know what Israeli weapons would plausibly be doing in Chernarus so I don't want to see them. I'm not a big fan of most bullpups, I find them extremely ugly...

I would use Keith's quote "looks like a poisoned pup that has lain too long in the sun " but two "pups" in one sentence wouldn't quite work...

You need those machines to build the weapon not fix/clean it. Typically as long as you clean the weapon and take care of if you don't have to worry about it breaking unless it is also you through it around and basically beat it to shit(highly possible in an apocalypse if you see it as a tool and not your life) Edited April 21, 2013 by Whatsausername
