Vehicle repairs not registering?

Just found myself a Hilux. Needed a wheel so I fitted one. I got the message that it was successfully repaired, the car did it's bouncy thing but the wheel isn't there. Is there a fix to this? Anything I need to do in future to prevent this?

Its a glitch with the current version. Jump into the driver seat of the hilux then jump out and apply repairs to the tire and it will work. Make sure no one else jumps in the vehicle whilst your repairing.

happened to me a few times. read that if you sit on the drivers seat before repairing it should work.

This and some other vehicle bugs appear to be fixed in v1.7.7 (see signature).

However, one player on Wireworld reports that after putting a wheel on, it bounced 20m into the air, fell down, and killed him!

That's rather unfortunate!

Having said that, I finally managed to find a wheel and got the Hilux running, thanks for all the help folks!
