How long does a player survive out of server?

Tried to use the search function and checked google but nothing helpful came up.

Im just wondering how long i can leave my character in suspended animation?

I always eat and drink before i leave and the next day im quite low on both, so im wondering how long it takes before i log back into a server to find myself dead from malnutrition or dehydration.

My friend logged in player for a bit and then didnt log back in for 8 days. I dont think your character can die if you dont log in but when you do log in you do need to eat and drink straight away, like i said my mate has lasted 8 days.

You won't die, you'll just be starving and dehydrated. So basically you go back on empty and need to quickly find food and drink water, but you'll be alive.

Awesome guys thanks for the tips, ill definately keep it in mind.

I was worried because i thought i would have to play every day to keep him alive, and with scavaging going the way it is, thats going to be hard.
