YOU_BEE_ATCH (DayZ) 0 Posted April 11, 2013 Would it be possible to combine a whiskey bottle, toilet roll and petrol to make a petrol bomb?
beastoverlord 574 Posted April 11, 2013 You mean Molotov? Toilet paper wouldn't work in real life... it would fall apart. Torn strips from cotton shirts work excellent by the way. Sources: Pyromania
fluxley 2228 Posted April 11, 2013 (edited) I was thinking use bandages, they are everywhere after all.wait, are you asking if this is possible now? if so then no, sadly it is not. Edited April 11, 2013 by Fluxley58

Clumzy (DayZ) 377 Posted April 11, 2013 I'm pretty sure it's confirmed for the Standalone.
Statik (DayZ) 2695 Posted April 11, 2013 It would be really neat in the standalone, but I think to really make it feel real, they would have to make somewhat of a destructive environment.
Fun With Flares 72 Posted April 11, 2013 Wouldn't just shooting a jerrycan be more efficient?
fluxley 2228 Posted April 11, 2013 Wouldn't just shooting a jerrycan be more efficient?I can see it now, "Excuse me sir, would you be so kind as to stand next to that jerry can whilst i shoot it a few times?"
Calanen 2 Posted April 12, 2013 During the war between Finland and the USSR, the Finns used molotov cocktails that were made by gluing storm proof matches to the sides of bottles with petrol in them. The storm proof matches don't go out and the bottle can be sealed so no leaks of petrol onto you. The rags in the top is so amateur.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Molotovin_cocktail.jpgI also liked the fire spreading Mechanic in Far Cry II, when if you set things on fire, they burnt pretty ferociously and set all the savannah grass on fire. Having a burning or fire spreading mechanic in Dayz would be great.
liquidcactus 719 Posted April 12, 2013 Wouldn't just shooting a jerrycan be more efficient? It actually takes alot of ammo in real life if you want to make a item filled with petrol explode. Unless you shoot it with tracers then you are guaranteed it will explode but its still just a game they could add it and it would be nice

LancerG2 369 Posted April 12, 2013 It would be really neat in the standalone, but I think to really make it feel real, they would have to make somewhat of a destructive environment.Just like Far cry 3 with burning of weed crops, grass, people, trees and houses.
