GOD™ 2795 Posted April 9, 2013 Wait, are servers going to become separated over players who live on Chernarus and players who live on Utes? Utes may not be huge, but it shure ain't a small map. I might even move there myself, see if I can clear out all the zombies and make it a safe zone. Anyone else share similar plans?Already planned it when it was mentioned in the dev blog. Mos1ey 6301 Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) Do the test servers support 150 players like they said?I don't think they said 150. I think Rocket said 'up to 100' and I don't think 150 people have the game yet TBH.For me 30-40 was the magic number for Chernarus, with the new areas and expanded old areas in Chernarus+ I think 50-75 would be good for me. mzltv 2281 Posted April 9, 2013 Considering the obscene amount of work put into Chernarus, this may qualify as the most counter-productive suggestion ever.I agree that the general scene of Chernarus may be a bit weary - I've been playing since a month into the original release so the scenery of Chernarus is all far too familiar, but that's why they've spent a lot of time on Chernarus Plus; to give it a fresh, sassy feel.. Think of it like Gok Wan doing up a chubby lady to make her look less of a brute.I personally would like to see Chernarus with a complete island shape. It kinda bugs me how we're on the island of Chernarus but you only have the south and west coast of it available to you.
sausagekingofchicago 4711 Posted April 9, 2013 I'd still like to see the A3 map make it to DayZ some time post release.I don't think they said 150. I think Rocket said 'up to 100' and I don't think 150 people have the game yet TBH.For me 30-40 was the magic number for Chernarus, with the new areas and expanded old areas in Chernarus+ I think 50-75 would be good for me.I could see 100 players working if the game plays completely different from the mod. In the mod, 100+ players would only turn the congested routes north into killing fields and the coast would become an even worse deathmatch. I bet it might work in the SA with the changes to the loot and if zombies become a serious threat. I think it's nuts but I'm interested in seeing how it all pans out before ordering a rocket sized straight jacket.
