I think killing people and helping people feel the same, they are both fun. Killing somone makes me kind of anxious cause i'm nervous somone heared the shots.

Ran around the Wilderness for a few days, no idea what I was doing. Then, I find myself in Cherno in a server being bombarded by hacking. On the east side, near the garage, I find a hacker box (No idea of what it was at the time) and suddenly became very well-equipped. M4, ghillie, M9SD, even a radio, because I thought it was useful.

But, that didn't stop me from going into Cherno anyways.

I'm wandering around, near the hospital tents, when someone opens up on me with a handgun. He missed a few shots and ran away (I thought i was the luckiest person in the world, didn't know how much pistols sucked). But I still followed him, he went up a ladder to the roof of a nearby building. I didn't have a microphone back then, so I remember frantically trying to type to him not to turn towards me in side chat, and just giving up and M9'ing him when he wouldn't listen. His friend was pretty perturbed, threatening to kill me in side chat, saying the guy was friendly, so I felt pretty bad.

I got my chance to be a good guy when I saw a guy sprinting on the streets shortly afterwards. Being chased by a small horde of zombies, bleeding, he was in pretty bad shape. So I typed to him, and I guided him through the streets to my position on the building, an he escaped the zeds. I bandaged him, gave him my pistol, and we parted ways. Everyone was killed by the hacker shortly after.

My first kills was quite funny actully,

So I think I remember spawning in komarovo and finding a hatchet in the industrial building I then followed the road to balota and up inside the air-control tower thing, I climbed the ladder on the west side to find somebody looting, I hit them with a hatchet and took their loot I headed downstairs when I saw another guy (might of been friend?) and he looked at me then shot me with a pistol.

Lets just say I came out with 9000 blood and he came out with around -400, I think after that I found a remington turned on the flashlight since it was getting dark and got sniped.

my first kill on dayz started of with me finding a hatchet after spawning in kamenka i decided to go to cherno but stop off by the airfield.

while i was there i found nothing special some drink, food and basic medical equipment. I was just about to leave when i noticed someone in the distance. i was new to the game so i didnt know what a bandit skin was and shouted friendly expecting him to do the same. he started to look around the airfield and eventually found me. he aimed his gun at me so i shouted again friendly dont shoot. but he did.

He was a bad shot and fired of half a mag only hitting me once. i was bleeding and ran towards him with my axe he shot at me a few more times hitting me again.

i was right next to him and was swinging my axe aimlessely but yet hit him twice and broken his legs. he then shot another round which hit my leg and broke them.

we were then both scrambling for survival but he had to reload so i composed myself and hit him in the head as many times as i could. i had finnally killed him but was bleeding and had no bandages.

Later his buddy came over who again i thought was friendly so i asked him for bandages. he shot me in the head and i died.

although i died it was fun and tense being out gunned and yet winning a battle and to this day i now bandit and have killed around 50+ people.

I did almost the same thing. Looted the AT and started back towards Cherno and the road infront of the hangers on my hive server. Actually bumped into a guy and he started swinging a hatchet first. I promptly sliced him back. He missed every hit. It took three hits to get him. Just to think I wouldn't have swung if he hadn't first.

Then again...

My first kill was with an M4A3 CCO up at NWAF, I was avoiding people up until now (I have a great habit you 'bandits' should try called 'Not killing on sight'). I heard a guy sniping a survivor across the runway, so I came up behind him, pulled out my binoculars and silently spotted for him. He missed a shot which was extremely easy, so I put away my binocs and said "ooh bad shot. y'know, there's a singleplayer mission that you should try called 'One shot, One kill' in the vanilla ArmAII, you could use the practice." At that, he got up and spun around shooting his DMR wildly. -Let's just say it only takes one bullet to take out a sniper...

brb, wall of text story-time.

So I joined a server that I’ve played on before, starting with some camo clothing, medical supplies, a revolver, and an SA-58P (my favorite non-rare rifle). I started running, heading towards a blank X on the server map. I was rewarded with a motorcycle, which I then tookthrough the countryside, first going to Stary Sobor for an M9, and then finding a hiding place for the cycle in the trees. Well, I kind of hit a tree in that search and now the motorcycle couldn’t go faster than 25 KM an hour, and it couldn’t climb any slopes.

So I ditched the motorcycle, set up a tent I’d found, and with a clearer inventory, headed for the Northwest Airfield. As soon as I got there, there were signs of habitation. Stacks with only the most useless stuff left behind, a backpack - I was very cautious. I go to the first barracks and am immediately rewarded with an M107; first time at a barracks on a public server and I get the second-deadliest weapon in the game.

I then headed to the firehouse, and suddenly heard sniper fire; a DMR. All but one of the zombies that had followed me in my haste to check the firehouse suddenly turned around and went right into it. I killed the zombie following me with a silenced round and immediately headed into the firehouse, ready for confrontation.

I entered and saw a huge line of zombies walking up the stairs. I heard more rounds being fired and came to the conclusion that this poor bastard was cornered. But as time went on, and more and more zombies went up the steps, I realized he was firing intermittently. Something wasn’t right.

After several minutes, I decided to walk out the back of the firehouse. I look up top and realized my mistake; the sniper was on top of the firehouse. Not the top floor, but the roof of its tower where zombies couldn’t go. He was just picking off zombies for fun.

Now, at this point, I’m not sure what quite motivated me to decide to kill him. I could weakly excuse myself with the fact that his gun could make me pass out with a single hit anywhere on my body, but I know that’s weak. I could also say I wanted his weapon, as it bridged the gap between my SA-58 and the M107, but he wasn’t an imminent threat. In retrospect… I just wanted to kill a player.

So I backed up a little more and finally made visual contact, seeing his head and backpack above the edge of the roof. I took aim, made sure my sight was zeroed, and time slowed down. I’m sure it was only a few seconds, but if felt like I was looking at him for a full minute before I pulled the trigger.

At first, I thought he dove on the ground after I missed, but then I saw the blood spurting from the roof, and realized I’d made a headshot. After a few seconds, the blood stopped and I heard the sound of flies buzzing around his body, the console saying “Foust was killed”. I climb up the ladder and take a look at his body.

He had roughly 10 DMR mags after I killed him (which doesn’t account for the several dozen rounds he’d fired prior to my shot), which made for at least 200 rounds of ammunition; this guy was just set up on that roof. I felt guilty, but still snatched his DMR and all the ammo I could hold for it.

I booked it out of the airfield, got lost in the forest trying to find my camp for about an hour, and then finally got to my tent, packed it all my loot up, and left the server.

I’m left with several emotions. I have satisfaction, as I’ve never killed anyone in DayZ before. I have remorse, as this guy was not a threat, and had likely worked for several hours to get that weapon and all the ammo for it. And I have a greedy happiness, knowing I now have two sniper rifles… but for what use?

My first kill was getting ambushed at NEAF by a guy others on the server had warned me about. I was cautious because of that. He had As50 and m4a1 CCO SD on him, shot with the M4 first, but switched to As50 after a few missed shots. So I found myself in one of the hangars, prone on the floor, aiming my AIM at the edge of the hangar-door. slight move to the side. Aim to the upper chest. One bullet. Tango down.

But he was just a troll who tried to piss of people on the server for a while, obviously not a very good one. Still don't get why this idiot came on the airfield, when he had a rifle that exceeded the range of everything we had on us. Got nice gear out of it tough :-D As50, CCO SD, NVG, Rangefinder, GPS.. everything... the luck gave it, the thunderdome-hack took it away few days later...

My fist kill(s) were really intense! I'm a diehard hero so here is my story: i'd been playing dayz for about a month i was getting very good although everytime there were players i backed off. I had been in a few exchanges but no kills yet one day im up north. I hear people speaking over direct chat, chanting. 4 people in bandit skins were making 2 noobs axe duel like in jackfrag's hive bandits. I decide to shoot them dead i fire and kill 2 and hurt 1 more. Three more guys come out of the house behind them i reload a 100 rd. MG36 mag into the m4 i've got (yes it fits) shot 30 rounds at their group. I hid and they rushed me because they thought i was reloading and I wasted them all with the other 70 rounds. I let the axe fighters get guns some guns. the bast part was the next day i had a run in with one of the axe guys and he had a hero skin and was helping bambies!

My first kill was with a hatchet. I was lying prone at one of the warehouse thingys near Komorova(?) waiting for my buddy, when a fresh-spawn came up and sat next to me. Well being the annoyance I am, I chopped him up and took his bandage and painkillers.

I stalked Elektro, equipped with nothing but a hatchet... Slowly I crawled through Elektro, avoiding the zombies, when I heard it.

"Dude, I found a DMR. It's too fucking sweet. Let's go snipe people here!" over direct. Conveniently, they were inside of the school, relaxing on the roof. So I crawled up, axe in hand... AND SLAUGHTERED THE FUTURE BANDITS. I caught the one with the DMR completely off-guard, and the other one was equipped with a Makarov, so it was an easy kill. I hid their bodies, hiding the DMR with it.

I was the Limberjack of Elektro. Get it? Instead of lumber, I wrote limber. Because I cut limbs. amirite, folks
