After a bit more digging around the recent activity feed on his YouTube channel is full of comments of him trying to pirate Combined Ops, lol.

My guess is that the key you've found has been added to the community ban list. Any keys you find will have been used by hackers and global banned. Just buy the game like everyone else or don't bother, and if/when you do start playing don't bother with the crappy scripts you found on either of the cheats sites you're registered on, you'll end up with a global ban within a couple of weeks.
