What will NOT make you want to buy Dayz?

I agree that recognizing your teammates is extremely important. I always hesitate to kill someone when my friends are around, and it's extremely annoying the few times you accidentally kill your teammate. I know they're implementing diverse clothing, but will it be enough? I personally think they should do what Wasteland does and put a green marker for friendlies near you, I don't care if it isn't realistic it's a simple mechanic that would end a lot of frustration.

I know all of us are eagerly anticipating the dayz standalone, but I think it's fair to say that it has a lot of margin for error. Use this thread to list annoyances in the mod that will prevent you from buying the standalone if carried over or not fixed.

I will start with mine:

-Getting knocked out from zombies: This is extremely annoying and game-breaking. If you're playing alone, there's no way for you to survive after getting the 1 minute~ knockout timer. To add insult to injury, you can't respawn or kill yourself, you have to slowly watch the zombie(s) consume your flesh.

-Breaking your legs from zombie "bite": I personally don't think you should break your bones from getting bitten from a zombie, but the way breaking your legs works in the mod makes it seem as if your legs were ripped off because you can only crawl.

I think these to things could be solved; if they move over from using a probability based system to action and reaction based system.

In other words everything has a value and when the values reach a certain tipping point you get a reaction. So when you fall you combine the momentum with damage and durability; if momentum and damage top durability, you injure yourself. But crucially you could have different thresholds; so you might only be cut or bruised increasing to a small fracture to a compound fracture and of course; if you have an existing injury this increase the amount of damage a fall could do.

Simply but effective; this way you can predict the likely hood of an injury and take different factors into account; even if you do not have the exact values

- If the flashlight isn't fixed

- If night-time isn't playable

That is all.

The reason I play DayZ is to experience a savage life running from monstrous zombies and to meet random survivors who must fight for every possible encounter available in the dangerous, quarantined lands of Chernarus. I do not expect the same type of scenario, as I imagine the chances of survival to change randomly as the game continues.

Since the first time I played DayZ, some things have bothered me during gameplay; blackholed items, zombies going through objects/structures, hackers, combat logging, and other combat related bugs. I am positive the DayZ development team is doing their job to meet the requirements for a better survivor experience.

Paying money to buy this game: I can only comment the fact that all projects should be tested and reviewed after it becomes available for retail at your local store or digital download copy.

Another note: I can tell you all what I DO want in this game, but, I would rather meet the exchange in-game.

I won't buy this game if it turns into a PVP fest. As simple as that.

Not having a single player mode, or a LAN mode that can be played offline. If I'm paying for entertainment I prefer to choose who that is with.

Are you meant to be letting zombies hit you in a Zombie survival game?

Would you survive long in real life (if it was to happen lol) if you did?

One hit from a zombie in real life (if it was to happen lol) would probably infect you whether if was a scratch from a zombies nails or a bite, and then im afraid good sir would be your lot :)

This hurts my eyes bro.
