Need some help :)

Hi ive had DayZ for ages but ive downloaded on my new pc. I run DayZ through steam but every time i try to run the game it comes up with an error code like 2xc0000022 ? does anyone know how to fix it ?

This also happens with Arma 2 and Arma OA and also my other game Primal Carnage. I read somewhere that it may be to do with my anti-virus which is ESET but it didnt offer anymore information. Any questions ill try to answer them, cheers lads :)

have you tested to see if its nod32 disable the antivirus and run the games to see if they run

I disabled it for 30 minutes yestarday an attempted to run them but didnt work :(

so its nothing to do with nod32 then unless it deinfected one or more of the files. what version of the game are you using

Im runing the newest version but its not to do with the game as its happening to Primal Carnage as well ?

have you got any other games based on the unreal 3 engine

The only other game i have is Killing Floor and that runs fine.

post a screenshot of the exact error you are getting

have you tried reinstalling/ re verifying (steam running as admin) the files with your av disabled

The error code is actually 0xc0000022.

scan your pc for viruses check the disk for errors and defrag that error means that it cannot access a dll file or registry file check to see if the folders are read only.

reinstall directx and see if your drivers are upto date as well

edit if you copied the files from an older install check the folder for dsound.dll and delete dsound.dll if it exists.

And there is a folder called dll, delete that too windows 7 dont need these

Everything was fine apart from i did have dsound.dll but i cant delete, something about the file being opened in bluetooth stack server ?

that dsound file is the problem mate start the pc up in safe mode delete the file

Maybe try running it from the batch file in the ArmA 2 Combined Ops directory.
