Deaf Survivor1993 22 Posted March 23, 2013 it wont probablyThis can't be good. Look http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/22/dean-hall-dayz-standalone-alpha-wont-launch-until-at-least-jun/
r4z0r49 4761 Posted March 23, 2013 With SA drawing every closer we just don't see the point in moving DayZ to A3 alot of the issues we face now with the engine will be the exact same for arma 3 not to mention the arma 3 system is alpha. By the time arma3 hits a real state out of beta/alpha im sure SA will be out :-)But im sure someone at some point will move it over not sure on the legal stuff behind that but yea.Id love to see new projects opened up using the a3 engine not just the same mods moved over.
Epsilon 349 33 Posted March 23, 2013 without a doubt, a DayZ clone will reach Arma 3. however, it will be nowhere near the quality and level of detail of the standalone. it won't be expensive, so why not just buy both?
GOD™ 2795 Posted March 23, 2013 Would be useless to make a dayz mod for arma 3 IMO

broguenz 333 Posted March 23, 2013 (edited) This can't be good. Look http://www.joystiq.c...l-at-least-jun/. Lol@ the cry babies. Good riddance to players like them. What a bunch of self entitled douche bags. Edited March 23, 2013 by RogueNZ
catweazle (DayZ) 28 Posted March 23, 2013 but someone will probably do it cause they thing A3 engine will be better.Correct me if I'm wrong, but Arma3 and DayZ SA engine are different forks of the Arma2 engine...when you read up the plans and development news onthe DayZ Standalone here in the forum or elsewhere you will understand why that was necessary... nox81 28 Posted March 23, 2013 One thing im wondering is will the stand alone have ragdoll style death physics? would be cool to see zombies knocking people down and tearing gory blood soaked chunks of people, and that after they die they're body gets munched on and left a bloody mess.I have to say though that from my time with the alpha im very impressed with the early state of A3's engine, its very good and seems more optimized than previous engines. Im sure once its at full release and tweaked it will be an excellent game.
