Hey this is a place for noobs that have some cool bandit stories

I'm not sure what you mean by "noob bandits", but in an attempt to kickstart your thread, I'll share a story of my encounter with some bandits.

So, I was playing on Balota Buddies for the first time with one Sula over Teamspeak when we managed to get a bus. We were cruising 'round Elektro, I believe, when I had to go use the restroom. So, I went and did my business, came back to see the bus was still going. I said "I thought we were stopping there?" And she said "I did. Someone just shot me and took the bus. Where are you?" My heart stopped. "...Still in the bus."

So I was kidnapped by bandits that had no idea I was in there. There were about 3-4 bandits in the bus, and it was pitch black. They drove for about 20 minutes, and finally they stopped and all got out. I think they were refuelling the bus.

Anyway, as soon as they got out, I jumped into the driver's seat and sped off. They started firing at the bus with pistols, and managed to crack the pane of glass directly behind me, but I got away unharmed. I reported that I had gotten the bus back, and sula asked if I'm sure there's nobody else in the bus with me. It dawned on me that I didn't check, and I couldn't say for certain they all got off. I tried to look behind me, but between the cracked glass and pitch black, I couldn't tell.

So, as I was driving along the road, I quickly switched to a passenger seat, looked around the bus as fast as I could, saw nobody, and switched back to the driver's seat.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, the bandits in question actually joined our Teamspeak room once the server went down for scheduled restart, and we all had a good laugh over it. Good times, with some good sports.

What i mean by noob bandits is for people that are relatively new to the game and have some good stories or people who have failed bandit attempts just for a good laugh.

I have one for you. This happened on a beautiful morning. :)

I spawned in Elektro and of course head up to the firestation, there i found a M9 with one mag(note that it was a 50 player server).

Then i go to the supermarket.I find a map and a tent and food and drinks. (<--- no shit)

Then i head up to stary, i find this guy laying down in a bush watching a crash site with a CZ 550.

I made too much noise and he turns around

I shoot him in the face 4 times.

He shoots me in the nuts 2 times.

I go unconscious and he dies while im unconscious.

I wake up and i dont have much blood i bandage after that i

passed out .I wake up again check his gear. There was four cooked meat i eat those, then sneak up to the crash site and find a ghillie suit and a M14

Ponies have the best stories. What's wrong with that? :)

Anyway:

When I first started in DayZ, after... I don't know, maybe my tenth death that week, I spawned into Chernogorsk on a night server. I ran from the ship loading cranes into town, looking for a firestation. I was lucky enough to find one M1911 magazine and a Mtn Dew, but no firearms. I was severely disappointed.

So I prepared to make my run to Elektrovodsk when I heard a car engine. Panicked, I found somewhere to hide. An Icarus (the big blue bus?) pulled into town, turned its headlights on, and a dozen people jumped out (which I learned in retrospect; I was so scared I thought it was at least thirty) in ghillie suits, NVGs, sniper rifles, assault rifles... the typical "Let's drive around and kill players" set up.

So these prospective bandits (I didn't know if they actually were or not) fanned out and started killing the zombies that were attracted to the light show. Somewhere threw a flare literally right behind me, meaning my hiding spot was ruined. Stuck between a zombie and a hard place, I ran for the bus, between two players. I jumped in and turned the lights off, then backed out of the town and drove like a crazy person into the woods, heading west.

When I finally stopped (heart thumping against my chest) I thought I'd gotten the bus without a fight, because the players were blind. No, turns out they shot the back of the bus with a smattering of fire. There was a tiny smiley face in the corner :)

I checked the gear in the bus and got a ghillie suit, NVGs, a AKM + ammo, a bunch of food, and et cetera. I wished there was some kind of note-saving mechanism, so I could leave an IOU card.

I was waiting in a treeline just north of Balota for a friend after finding a dmr in one of the hangars. I was just chilling chasing a rabbit when I heard footsteps and so I hid in a tree. When i peaked I saw 2 survivors one with a sa58 and the other with a enfield looking pretty much right at me. In my nooby panicked state I got up and ran away looking over my shoulder seeing them pretty much staring at me so i start shouting "FRIENDLY FRIENDLY PLEASE DON'T SHOOT" and they don't respond and after about a minute of looking in trees they run away. I look at them through my scope and shoot them both in the legs for not responding. And that's when I realized I didn't have my mic plugged in so those 2 survivors were pretty much staring at me and didn't see me or just didn't say anything

I had a fun kill today, I've been trying a different play style lately, wandering around the more remote Northern areas without any real goal and not caring about loot... I passed up a pristine Huey today. Don't run into as many people in those areas.

Anyways I looked over Novy Sobor from the hills to the North and noticed a bandit running along the road about 400m away, lay down and shot him. He ran into a cluster of bushes and trees and I watched him start heading up into the trees.

I decided to change position and circle round to wait for him to run uphill to try to escape / flank me, and as soon as I got into my new position behind some rocks a couple hundred meters up the hill, as expected he suddenly appeared running straight at me out of some trees less than 30 meters away and I got some extra bandages and a tin of pasta (was needing those).

I haven't killed a lot of people lately.
