First encounter with a hacker..

I'm new to DayZ and i consider what i had to be pretty good, i have a british assault pack, Saw LMG, m107 sniper, all equipment, can of mountain dew, and more...

i was looting NW airfield and all of a sudden i got a broken leg and just instantly died, along with everybody else in the game (about 2 people) and the hacker got kicked..

I don't understand why somebody would do that? what possibly could these 12 year old faggots gain from doing this, do they feel special about themselves because they are l33t hazorsz?

i hope standalone completely rids of hacking, why download a game which is notorious for hard-to-survive game play, etc.. just to cheat and make it easy and boring...

These people are not always 12 years old but do seem to have the mentality of one.

Ive asked them directly in the past on their boards and the line they follow is that "they've paid for the game, they want to play their way". A blinkered view I know. SA will not eliminate scripters but it will make it more awkward for them. So we can lulz back.

It is frustrating to lose all your gear to someone who did not legitimately best you and I understand your rage. This is where everyone else comes in to tell you to not get attached to your gear.

While I agree with your sentiments in regards to hacking, I believe you could have expressed your views without " these 12 year old faggots".

Sad but true. Happens all too often. Some servers are better than others about keeping filters updated and having active admins, but the fact remains that the script kiddies often have as much (or more) control over the server than the Admins.

Keep your head up, don't get too attached to any loot, and enjoy the game for it's concept and the people you meet!

I searched "dayz hacker forums" in google...picked a random thread there where OP says:

"is there any custom menus that have an aim bot??... or at least aim assist for snipers??? casue i cant hit a moving target for shit with a sniper cause i dont know the arma mechanics for snipers"

nah...its mainly because ppl get banned by admins for good or bad reasons...hacking is their way of getting revenge

Last time a hacker teleported to me I just instantly closed my game. It pisses them off more.

If it's something like what happened to you, where the hacker script kills the entire server then there isn't anything to be done. But if they are going around killing people one at a time it becomes pretty obvious and I just switch servers.
