Admins:Friend or Foe?

Hello everyone i am here today to tell you about the worst server in existence, MarijuanaMilitiaClan.com. They have the most abusive admins i have ever seen while playing this game. Me and my 5 friends joined and were having a fun time. Then out of nowhere a admin banned my friend who was named NYGGABorz(he is black himself). The admin did not even warn us. When confronted by us about it he just said "name". He never once offered to unban him if he changed his name at all. We also explained that it was not racist because Borz was black himself. The admin stated that we should go on the Team speak and we simply asked him a couple more times to unban our friend and that our friend would change his name. He sent out a global message stating that if we did nit stop asking that he would ban all of us (even though we had not disobeyed any rules at all). One of my other friends just stated that it seemed dumb that he would ban all of us then all of a sudden we each got banned one after another. We then went onto their site (http://www.marijuanamilitiaclan.com/) which had explicit pictures, and all 5 of us went on the Teamspeak. On the teampseak we had a chat with another admin who stated that "racist names were not to be tolerated" (even though borz is black). after about 10 minutes of stating our case the admin said "well i will see what i can do" then left the teamspeak channel to go talk to another admin. Also remember that all we had mentioned to him while talking ist that is unfair that we were banned and requested nicely to unban us so we could continue playing. About 5 minutes after he left we were all permanently banned from the teamspeak server. They had banned us simply because we had different opinions. You may be wondering why i am ranting about this, i am ranting about this because i want to warn those who go on their server to watch out because you will most likely get banned.Be wary of abusive admins.

We said he would change his name if he was unbanned, the admin told us to talk to him on teamspeak and when we tried we were banned from there also.

Doesnt seem like the right way to treat your players bad name or not he should have talked it out with you guys and notified you of what the consequences would be if he wanted it to be changed.

I kick with a request to change the offensive name as soon as they hit the server. To ban from the get go is definitely not the way to rectify the problem.

We actually recommended that to them, but obviously they didn't listen.

Don't worry about that. Those servers are prime candidate to be avoided and after a while there will be only admins playing there, next step is those guys saying "Oh well all the players are elsewhere, what a bunch of morons. Let's stop this." Server dead.

I once joined a server where the 5 admins spawned in as50s and m107s and edited the loot tables so no weapons spawned and abused the live map to find players and snipe them

But yeah. I assume your only banned on that server, I recommend using basic names (mine is Maloney, which is my surname) and just altogether avoiding admins. I've been constantly kicked or banned from servers with no reason whatsoever even though I've done nothing wrong.

i joined a server with the welcome message not to touch the admin camp near misty peak, marked with 3 cars parked in a triangle formation, so after a while of playing and getting decent equipment i went up there, looted it and tossed a few grenades to level it, this was an official hive server so it didnt feel right that the admins would get to hoard shit without risk, well i made my way out of there and a short while later i got banned, still got all the gear so it wasnt a loss on my part, rules like that belong on private hive servers.

The thing that bugs me with admins is 90% of them have the attitude of ''we pay for this shit, fuck off then'' (actually been told that challenging admin abuse), so why advertise it to legit players if it's their own personal sandbox? It doesn't make sense. I've been banned along with my friends from a few servers for finding admin camps, and also banned for challenging admin abuse because they called me out on ''whining'' (I was suggesting things they could do with the server to improve it, while trying to promote it myself). They figured I was too big for my boots, and on direct chat (before I knew about rcon and admin tools) I was speaking to a friend through text, and all off a sudden I get ''WE CAN SEE THIS YOU FUCKING TWAT, BANNED''. Ridiculous.

Even the better policed servers admins treat it like their own sandbox, spawning in heli's at will, spawning in vehicles to create huge explosions (actually happened. sure, on the edge of the map, however that isn't the point), letting people suck up to them and giving them weapons or pointing them towards vehicles etc etc. And that's just what you see. I know it's a bit of a oxymoron or w/e the term is but a admin cannot legitimately play on their own server, which I agree is unfair as they pay and enjoy the game too but such a high percentage abuse it, no matter how minor. From spawning food in for a friend, to scripting in helis. Hell, on one server I was on which I thought was very well policed and moral I had a admin spawn a heli next to me out of nowhere, and say ''there you go, it'll disappear on restart though''. I left it, but still.

Problem is public hives are a no go. Whitelisted private hives are still occasionally rife with hacking, public is just a no go.

There are tons of private hive servers with minimal admin presence. I play on 12 differents private ones, just experiment, dayz commander is your friend.

I personally want to go back to just regular severs. Even though testing private tests might be better, I want to go back to a server were no one is in charge. For about the last 2 servers I have been in (Both different servers) The admins just kicked people off for no reason. Literally I was playing out in the wilderness cooking, never had contact with anyone, then I see a whole bunch of people get kicked, then I get kicked. I also hate that every single server needs a custom loadout, side chat, and a restart before it gets dark. That breaks the feel of the game for me.

Speaking of which if anyone knows a server that doesn't have those 3 things, tell me. I garuntee I will go on that server all the time.
