An age old (and dumb) question

Can't believe I don't know this yet but, i understand that a tent once placed, is in it's spot forever (unless you/someone else moves it) but when you die, I have read so many (old :/) threads that say once you die you have a grace period to fuck around with the tent or else it will despawn, is this true?

Have no idea if they despawn as such but once you die you can still interact with it, just not pack it up. The only person who can pack it and move it is the original tent pitcher.

What about the items in it? If all it does is imbed it in it's place forever then I got no problem, but if anything happens the contents i may need to log in and haul ass

As far as i got it, As long as you are alive, the tent will exist in any case. If you died, the tent will remain unless it is accessed at least once a week.

Could have been changed tough. I think I read this during 1.7.4.4
