can you see dayz servers without installing dayz?

One of the problem i have is dayz servers and oa servers both in the server browser. I was trying to filtered the dayz servers but it never works. I tried reinstall the game, reinstall the dayz mod and disable it and it never works. Reset the filter or bla bla bla. after all these, my game still can search for dayz servers but the magic is.. i can join a dayz server and playing it without dayz... i have searched my whole computer nothing is "dayz related"

I think what Beck is trying to say is yes.

To go a little further on your subject I remember someone saying that he had installed DC on another computer and was able to see the server list without having installed the game/mod.

He then entered the ip address on his gaming machine.

I might just check it out one of these dayZ to make sure.

Browsing DayZ in the ArmA2 in-game server list has been disabled if DayZ Mod isn't enabled on the client (it has been like this for a while ago, it was disabled in one of the beta patches).
