DayZ Steam doesn't start up

Harro...

Pretty simple, everytime I click on the DayZ icon it says 'Failed to start game. (Missing executable.)' Is it because I don't own the steam version of ArmA? Or I haven't installed it? Please help.

You need to buy and/or install ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead before trying to launch DayZ.

Edit; If you go look at .\Steam\Steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\, you'll notice how you have nothing else in there besides @dayz folder, with a few .dayz.bisign files in it. That's all the DayZ mod on Steam downloads on your computer. I've no idea why I bolded those parts.
