Why is this forum so slow at loading?

Is there some reason for this I do not understand, because at the moment, every page on this forum alone takes a really long time to load? from clicking on a thread or section to it actually opening can be anywhere from 15-50 seconds and I am wondering if there are known issues which I have missed.

It's no great big deal, and in the long run, starvation in Africa is a much bigger problem, but I have to admit I am curious if there is an answer.

Demand. We're getting absolutely hammered. We keep moving and upgrading to new servers, but that's not a simple task. We'll be doing another migration soon that should help things.

Yes, really improved since the other day. Much better.

Turns out there was a small config error with the web server, which caused the slowdown. We've fixed it.

Then since we're so awesome, we moved the website over to a CDN. Seems to be working pretty well!
