Putting DayZ up for sale at Beta or Late Alpha stages? the same as bohemia have done with Arma3?

I think it would be a very lucrative revenue generator and allow for some extensive load testing on servers.

EDIT: it was stated a long long time ago that Dayz would release using the 'minecraft model'.

Have you really not heard of this?

Hasn't it already been confirmed it will use the minecraft model? So yes, it will be released in "alpha" at a discounted price with regular updates until release with the price slowly increasing over time as more major features are added.
