Lyhome 0 Posted March 10, 2013 Alright, so I've been trouble shooting these two erros for probably about 9 hours now, I honestly can't sleep this is bothering me so much.Firstly what is wrong:http://i45.tinypic.com/rsbl1d.png Bad CD Key at Setuphttp://i50.tinypic.com/335e5fk.png Crazy error I've typed into google hundreds of times and not gotten an answer for. What I've Tried:1. I've tried Uninstalling BOTH Games, then Running Steam As Admin, Then Installed both and tried to run ArmA 2 then OA. (OA Still has errors)2. I've tried deleteing the ArmAOA Registry folders, as well as the ENTIRE Bohemia Studio/Interactive Folders and then doing the above steps.3. I CANNOT Install the beta patch because It says ArmaOA is not installed or the installation is corrupted.4. I have Verfied the Integrity of Both Game Files at least 7 times.5. I've tried reinstalling BOTH Games to a different drive (Currently they're on Drive D and my Main Drive is C)I seriously seriously need help, I've been searching the forums, searching steam, searching google I even posted a Steam Discussion, in hopes to get some help. Please SOMEONE HELP, I just want to play DayZ like I used too!

Lyhome 0 Posted March 10, 2013 My friend installed DayZ Commander, which is kind of what inspired me to reinstall Arma but other than that no nothing.

Mayuyu 411 Posted March 10, 2013 Hey there, i'm interested to see what your registry has to say about your CD Key.In start search 'regedit'. This'll open up your registry. Then go HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Bohemia Interactive Studio > and click on Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA.If the blue line which says 'key' is something like 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 then your CD Key has probably been stolen. If it looks like a string of random numbers and letters (don't post a screenshot or what the numbers are here) then it might be a problem with your computer getting your registry or understanding it or something.Good luck, I hope you find out what's causing this. martinusn 0 Posted March 10, 2013 (edited) Bad cd key is when you use an install key only with a cdkey changer program and it cant load the game up . Did you buy another cdkey? Also. That 2nd error are you trying to use the beta patch version of OA? I got it too at one point and i think it stems from the cd key you have - upon install of the beta patch did it say wrong cd key?Im pretty sure about the first error i tried for days to fix it, the 2nd one is a wild guess as i received that recently and it may be hard to pinpoint.Have you perhaps tried sixupdater or commander? Lyhome 0 Posted March 10, 2013 No I haven't bought another CD key and I shouldn't have to I paid my 30 dollars for combine operations! My Registry Has a random key that isn't a bunch of zeros, Arma2OA folder However has only 1 key in it (I've added permissions already and that has changed nothing)Again I have Day Z Commander however I can't really use it until OA actually works. sausagekingofchicago 4711 Posted March 10, 2013 Give this a shot. Our Arma brothers seem to have a working solution.http://forums.bistud...read.php?138564Aha you might be having the same issue (and thus solution) as another guy I chatted with this week, he managed to fix it and I asked him to write out his steps which he did:1, Run REGEDIT2, Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE3, Expand Software4, Expand Wow6432Node5, Expand Bohemia Interactive Studio Not Bohemia Interactive6, Click ArmA 2 OA, If you only see 1 file named "(Default)" And type REG_SZ then,7, Right click the ArmA 2 OA file and go to Permissions8, Left click YOUR USER, NOT! Users9, After selecting your user click on Advanced10, Yet Again click on your username for your pc and click on edit11, In the drop down menu select This Key and Subkeys12, You will see allow and deny make sure all allow boxes are ticked then click ok13, you will be taken back one Dialogue box, Click Apply and OK and the same again on thenext dialogue box.14, Now you should see 4 files sat in your ArmA 2 OA folder, Names, "(Default)" "Data" "Key" & "main"15, Now play your game hassle freeGive that a try?
