CD Key Set to "0 0 0 0" (Bad Serial Number Given in Setup)

Here is the image of when I click on regedit and try to view my key. I have been getting the Bad Serial Number Given in Setup message for about a week. I have tried to delete the files and run game cache. I have also tried to reinstall both Arma 2 and OA. Hopefully you guys can help. Thanks

delete the arma file from reg then follow the next steps

close steam

start steam in admin (right click and run as administrator)

right click on arma2 and properties then local files

click on verify integrity of game cache <-- do it twice

and do the same for arma2 oa

run arma2 to the menu

run arma2 oa to the menu

click in expansions

make sure the following are enabled

arma2

arma2 oa

arma2 baf lite

arma2 pmc lite

if not enable them and restart then exit the game

then it will put the correct key back into the reg but you may want to clean your pc first

What AmberHelios said didn't work. . . Just something that it says after I try to verify is that when I verify the game cache of Arma 2 it says: 1 files failed to validate and will be reaquired. Then when I verify Arma 2 OA it says: 1 files failed to validate and will be reaquired. Also when I tried to run the games it asked to to install Battleye again so I was wondering if that was normal. Thanks for the replies keep up the support please.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't zeros as your key mean your key has been stolen?

@BlaZe FG yes this is normal you are getting it to run the registry entries again it should reinsert the reg file you deleted. check to see if your key is now in the registry. Willy could be right tho what happened to your key have you downloaded and fps boosters or hacks you could find that you will be banned in a few days maybe already. make sure you delete the programs if you have and clean you computer otherwise it will do it again

@Willy Wonka yeah and no it could be someone has stole his key through questionable downloads or it could be a corrupted install or the entries got corrupted by a crash when writing said files
