Mos1ey 6301 Posted March 4, 2013 It probably won't require the 16Gb of HDD space that ARMA 2 CO needs, but I'd assume the system requirements will be the same.
byrgesen 1341 Posted March 4, 2013 I believe its been stated several times by Rocket, that if you can run the mod you will be able to run the SA :)
dulix11 731 Posted March 4, 2013 How internet hungry will the SA be? Anyone have any ideas?
byrgesen 1341 Posted March 4, 2013 How internet hungry will the SA be? Anyone have any ideas?Since its based on MMO architeture, its most likely gonna be similar to many other MMO's out there tbh. But that is something we havent heard anything about yet, maybe because Internet usage is never an issue in MMO games, they dont really use much tbh.But i cant tell for sure tbh, we havent got info on it, as far as i remember. DirtyCry 118 Posted March 4, 2013 How internet hungry will the SA be? Anyone have any ideas? You will need a lot of Internet. You can buy internet everywhere.
trunkz jr 61 Posted March 4, 2013 Would you assume they are the same or slightly less then ArmA 3 Alpha?
byrgesen 1341 Posted March 7, 2013 (edited) Would you assume they are the same or slightly less then ArmA 3 Alpha?I would say less, as SA is not build on arma III engine alone. It will most likely be somewhere between arma II and III when it comes to minimum requirements.I still think SA will use less "internet" then arma, as arma is running a shit load of scripts client side, and thats not really gonna happen in SA.All they need is an Input and Output, but nothing is gonna run client side, except the actual application it self.Just like other MMO's, where you dont really do anyting other then displaying content client side, 99% of all scripts are gonna be server side, to give the best possible protection. At least thats how i understand "MMO Architecture" :)But basicly if you can run arma III, theres no way in hell you arent gonna be able to run SA. I'm getting a new PC with an AMD Radeon HD 7850 and FX-8120, plus 16GB of RAM.I think I'll be able to run SA, I just wonder if I'll be able to record it above 30 FPS, as I am a YouTuber. As long as you have a decent hard drive to record to. Avoid externals. I record at 30 and above with no problems. I'm running i7 2.8GHZ processor, 32GB of ram, and NVIDIA 680M GTX 4GB graphics card. I record onto my 2x240GB SSD RAID-0 hard drive. I'm not sure if SSD's are better for recording but they certainly are for booting the OS and games up. Mitunzz 90 Posted March 8, 2013 I'm guessing not too much less of the requirements for ArmA II: OA or even ArmA III's requirements.
byrgesen 1341 Posted March 15, 2013 I'm guessing not too much less of the requirements for ArmA II: OA or even ArmA III's requirements.Im almost certain its gonna need more "juice" then Arma II. Simply because theres so many features from Arma III, including many textures and what not.But if you can run Arma III, you should be able to handle the SA without problems :)Basicly it all comes down to your CPU, thats the element doing all the calculations. The GPU doesnt do much other then add shadows and render better textures,But im running Arma III on an i3 @ 2.4Ghz and with 8gb RAM and Geforce GT635m @ 2gb, with no issues so i doubt oyour gonna run into issues with that setup mate :)
