More Russian Guns

Recommended Posts

first of all i prefer the russian guns more than the american ones and there are barely any at all considering the location.

VSS, its in the game but it would be OP as crap. i found a box with every gun in the game and tested it out, silenced, one hit kill anywhere, armor piercing rounds. tone down the gun but please for gods sake bring it in. its my favorite. also would be extremely rare. more rare than as50.

PKM (or pkp? forget which), a Medium machine gun. has a pso scope on it. plus it shoots green lasers out every 5 shots.

KSVK, anti material rifle, bolt action. this gun seems more likely to find than an as50. also shouldnt make you drop your bag when using it.

AK-107 GL or AK-107 pso, assault rifle with a nice sight on it and/or a grenade launcher

RPK, light machine gun, does the same damage as a saw i believe.

those are just some guns i would like in the game. anyone else want any russian guns?

Some of these guns would be good but the last thing we need is more over powered guns like the AS50.

KSVK is bolt action with 5 in each mag so i dont think it would be OP due to slow firing rate.

VSS would probably be brought down to a 2 hit kill or something like that. and it would be extremely rare aswell as ammo for it.

PKP is terribly inaccurate with the scope unless you single shot the gun.

i dont think the guns would be OP like the as50.

They could be a really rare almost artifact kinda gun, bolt action with the same damage as a DMR.

The KSVK is still extremely powerful. I played with it a bit in the editor. It's got a powerful zoom and kills in one shot, I believe. It can also completely screw up vehicles just like the M107 or AS50 can do. I say ditch all the huge anti-material rifles and stick to the more classic hunting rifles, like the CZ 550. It fits the scenario better, in my opinion.

thats generally what anti material rifles do. you know, take away material. i think the ksvk would be fine to have in. most people would go for the as50 regardless unless they enjoy the range finder in the scope but thats why id add the VSS aswell since most (smart) people would use that instead. since its silenced and would kill in two shots and its range is like 400m.

The Lee-Enfield is a pretty old gun too, that is still in the game.

Mosin-Nagants are pretty common to this day. They are cheap, too.

This gun is still used in many armies around the world.

Yes bring in more Slavic guns, This is Russia for fuck's sake!

+1

The Lee-Enfield is a pretty old gun too, that is still in the game.

Afaik the Lee Enfield was introduced in OA which means after Chernarus so the rifle doesn't have a connection to Chernarus at all, it's quite a common rifle for the poor middle eastern man who can't afford an AKM.

It's still produced today.

Khyber Pass Copies

A number of British Service Rifles, predominantly the Martini-Henry and Martini-Enfield, but also the various Lee-Enfield rifles, have been produced by small manufacturers in the Khyber Pass region of the Pakistani/Afghan border.[87]

"Khyber Pass Copies", as they are known, tend to be copied exactly from a "master" rifle, which may itself be a Khyber Pass Copy, markings and all, which is why it's not uncommon to see Khyber Pass rifles with the "N" in "Enfield" reversed, amongst other things.[88]

The quality on such rifles varies from "as good as a factory-produced example" to "dangerously unsafe", tending towards the latter end of the scale. Khyber Pass Copy rifles cannot generally stand up to the pressures generated by modern commercial ammunition,[88] and are generally considered unsafe to fire under any circumstances.[7]

Khyber Pass Copies can be recognised by a number of factors, notably:

  • Spelling errors in the markings; as noted the most common of which is a reversed "N" in "Enfield")
  • V.R. (Victoria Regina) cyphers dated after 1901; Queen Victoria died in 1901, so any rifles made after 1901 should be stamped "E.R" (Edwardius RexKing Edward VII or King Edward VIII) or "G.R" (Georgius RexKing George V or King George VI).
  • Generally inferior workmanship, including weak/soft metal, poorly finished wood, and badly struck markings.
