The Tun Tavern Crew (TTC) is hosting a more “realistic” zombie apocalypse (yes, I used “realistic” and “zombie” in the same sentence) experience that offers the following “no frills” approach to DayZ:50 SlotsSide Chat is enabledNo 3rd Person modeNo CrosshairsNo Name PlatesNight & Day cycle (and no I haven’t modified the weather or added full moon nights)… time zone is GMT+7No custom weapons other than what comes loaded with the standard DayZ.St build (I have not removed any weapons either)No custom structures (tents or buildings)Custom added 250+ vehicles; 30 of them being helicopters… I have spawned them in locations that would mimic how the apocalypse would have went down (use your imaginations). AGBenny 18 Posted March 5, 2013 Ive been looking for a real hardcore server for a while, so many servers I see advertise it as "hardcore" but still have 3rd person on lol. What I didn't do is add "customized tent areas" like the medical/military tents found in Stary Sobor. Thanks for the feedback, I see how folks can get that mixed up! Tun Tavern Crew 2 Posted March 10, 2013 ***WEEKEND EVENT*** (March 9, 2013)SURVIVOR’S INTELLIGENCE REPORT: A convoy of military vehicles traveling back and forth from the Balota Airfield to Elektro has been spotted… 1 Military URAL and 2 HUMVEEs. 3 to 4 personnel in camouflage uniforms brandishing military grade weaponry are verified as being occupants of these vehicles. These individuals (who are members of the TTC) are known to BE EXTREMELY HOSTILE and will KILL ON SIGHT any survivors/bandits that attempt to make contact with them.DETAILS: Contents of these vehicles are said to be dozens of M9 pistols, M16s/M4s, M249 SAWs, and large amounts of 5.56mm and 9mm ammunition. Rumors of sniper rifles on board have not been verified. Also noted, large caches of medical supplies (blood bags, antibiotics, morphine) are also suspected to be cargo of these vehicles as well. It looks as if they are stockpiling supplies from both Elektro and Cherno, then transporting them off via helicopter to an unknown location.TIMEFRAME: This convoy will be traveling to and from Elektro/Cherno and Balota from 9:00pm EST (US) on March 9th until 12:00am EST on March 10th.WAY AHEAD/RECOMMENDATIONS: This is an opportunity for any survivors/ bandits in the area to arm themselves, and assault this convoy for their cargo; as they are carrying large amounts of military grade weaponry and medical supplies critical to survival in this post-apocalyptic landscape.Happy Hunting!-TTC Out Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ÅćïÐ 1 Posted March 10, 2013 I just came back to the TTC after a long time away, these guys really put the server together well. It's more of a realistic survival-apocalypse scenario rather than just a bunch of server-hopping script kiddies. It's an role playing approach...the way the game should have been played everywhere else running DayZ. Some folks will kill you and some will try to help you instead. The other servers I've been on is just a bunch of gamers trying to kill everyone else on the server. I have Battlefield and Medal of Honor for that...when I get a zombie apocalypse game like this I'm looking for something more. The server admins go out of their way to give everyone a good time and constantly scan for hacks. Some great skirmishes went down that night; a few folks came out of it with some great gear (M4s, M16s and SAWs). Below is a breakdown of the good, the bad and the ugly:The Good:Great coordination between survivors/bandits who attacked our convoyGear was plentiful once the dust settled; the survivors/bandits that participated all came out of it with some lootThe Bad:Event actually only lasted one hour; after the first few ambushes, interest in attacking the convoy diminished (partly because the convoy became scattered)The Ugly:There was a point at which the server was accidentally restarted during the event; this was the Admin’s fault (me).This event was announced on the forum only 2 hours before it started. Next weekend’s event will be announced MUCH earlier (at least 72 hours before it starts).WAY AHEAD: This was our first event since we opened up the server. Popularity is starting to pick up; slowly, but surely. If you are reading this post, be sure to FOLLOW THIS FORUM POST/TOPIC! Within the next 48 hours, we will be posting details of this weekend’s event. To reiterate from the last event, these individuals are EXTREMELY HOSTILE (and heavily armed!); they will KILL ON SIGHT any survivors/bandits that attempt to make contact with them.DETAILS: There will be a “large cache of weapons” (comprised of pistols, assault rifles, machine guns and sniper rifles) at this location. It has also been verified that there are abundant quantities of medical supplies. This area will be “heavily fortified” by the personnel (TTC Clan members) defending it. In the event that the survivors/bandits overrun the location (before the event ends); “Re-enforcements” will then begin to attack the location from the surrounding areas until the end of the event.TIMEFRAME: This event will begin @ 9:00pm EST (US) on March 16th until 2:00am EST on March 17th.WAY AHEAD/RECOMMENDATIONS: This is another great opportunity for both survivors/bandits to assault this location for loot; there will be large quantities of military grade weaponry and medical supplies critical to survival in this post-apocalyptic landscape.
