Taviana small island question

I managed to fly over the Small island off the top right of the map and also fly over the oil rigs.

Is it possible to land on the rigs and is there anything on them?

the oil rigs are possible to land on and can get you some good end game gear without the hastle of zombies. if lootcycling is your thing, thats the place to go

Thanks. I'd heard someone talk about requiring the "Origins" pack, I assume that's not needed then?

Well on DayzTaviana.com version I haven't seen any loot on oil rigs or whatsoever. Also lot of people have reported being unable to find loot there. It is also a trap if you plan to stash chopper there. When server is restarted chopper moves a little bit and gets destroyed when placed on oil rig. And then side chat is full of "plz help i'm at oil rig, no choppa" :D
